I know there'll be a bit of "I ain't paying that for a Seiko 5!"

There might even be some eye rolling at the "Supercars" branding.

Nonetheless, I was having a look to see if there was anything of note included in the current Myers sale and I spotted this one. It is the lowest price I've seen it to date, so that makes it a deal.

It might not be my thing, but it could be your thing and that is perfectly fine. If it is your thing then it hasn't been cheaper that I know of. Starbuy is close at $569, but no guarantee they'll be willing to come to the party and beat it.

What do you get with this one? You get the watch, an alternative strap, and a flasy presentation box which to give it its due is definitely a step up from what often passes as "presentation boxes".

Wear it to Bathurst and impress your fellow V8 fans!

  As a comparison the cheapest Seiko 5 on a bracelet @Starbuy is the blue dial - $325.00 del. Black dial on rubber - $303.00 del.

  That's not a terrible price when you compare it to some of the other special edition versions of the Seiko 5.
  The company's relationship with Supercars goes back 10 years or so, and looks like continuing into the future.
  Some of the teams have deals with other watch brands and, funny enough, I can't tell you the number of times I have noticed a team owner or principal wearing a very nice timepiece from a rival brand…

    That's the power of advertising , doesn't mean they have to wear it , it's all about money…
    For a 4r36 ? I'd argue there's better value than this around , another themed watch as well ! I suppose they run out of ideas on how to make scwillions …

  There is another pathway to this price, or even a bit cheaper depending on your own setup. Watsons Jewellers have it for $569 which, if you get their 5% signup discount, brings it to $540.55. They also price match, so if they agreed to it and you got the 5% signup, that brings it to $516.56.

  All this is predicated on (1) you get their signup discount, (2) they pricematch, and (3) you don't or can't get the 5% cashback on the original Myers transaction. If these don't apply, the Myers price still either wins or is equal.
