    that's going to last forever.

Just did a google search on anti bac soap.

FDA says: Antibacterial Soap? You Can Skip It, Use Plain Soap and Water

"To date, the benefits of using antibacterial hand soap haven’t been proven. In addition, the wide use of these products over a long time has raised the question of potential negative effects on your health."

"manufacturers haven’t proven that those ingredients are safe for daily use over a long period of time. Also, manufacturers haven’t shown that these ingredients are any more effective than plain soap and water in preventing illnesses and the spread of certain infections."

Minesota Dept of Health says: "Antibacterial soaps are no more effective than plain soap and water for killing disease-causing germs outside of health care settings. There is no evidence that antibacterial soaps are more effective than plain soap for preventing infection under most circumstances in the home or in public places. Therefore, plain soap is recommended in public, non-health care settings and in the home (unless otherwise instructed by your doctor)."

    In other words, scam.

But your reference is FDA and they wash their eggs

      • I LOVE SALMONELLAAAAA

        • They probably wash their hands after using the bathroom too what sheep.

@Kommodore: eat with right hand, wipe with left, simples problem solved

            • @capslock janitor: which hands do you drive with?
If you need to lift a big pot or a large tray, use two right hands?

The egg washing (and refrigerating) is not as kooky as it sounds. Seems there are 2 types of countries, those that wash their eggs and those that do not. 🤣

"So what's the deal with washing and refrigeration? Soon after eggs pop out of the chicken, American producers put them straight to a machine that shampoos them with soap and hot water. The steamy shower leaves the shells squeaky clean. But it also compromises them, by washing away a barely visible sheen that naturally envelops each egg."

          two us government sources

        • Eggshells are porous so whyu

        • eggs sold in supermarkets here are washed and refridgerated, same as the yanks.

          • @lostn: Maybe but their eggs look weird, like they've been very very washed.

Also yolk is yellow there not orange like us and I must admit it looks more natural than ours.

    • If you want real antibacterial hand wash, look for antiseptic ones, they're used in the hospitals and health care facilities.

    • +2

Y'all should be more weary about unnecessarily using antibacterials which could lead to superbugs faster

  • Thanks OP. I bought 3L of the foaming hand soap for $9.85.

  • whats foaming ?

    • +5

Little Bubbles and lots of it

      • frothy?

      • hows it compare to usual liquid soap handwash?

and cant you just shake it up to get it foaming ?

    • +4

Picture an animal with rabies where they're foaming at the mouth, it looks like that

  • +10

Aldi tricare refill soap 1L is $2.85 normal price. Still cheaper than this

    • +3

      Free delivery to my house?

    • Deos that foam? I find I like the foaming and think the Aldi variety may be too thick. But the foaming may be more about the dispenser bottle, I'm not sure.

      • +6

The foaming is purely if you have the foaming dispenser, but even then imo you're better off getting the regular soap and mixing 1/3 soap with 2/3 water. Way cheaper than getting the foaming version.

Someone always says this. Does it turn as good?

        • Regular doesn't have the same scent. I use the Lime and Mint exclusively and the non-foaming ones do not have this scent.

          • @Munki: Genuine question, do you just prefer the lime and mint compared to the rest of another reason why you only get those?

            • +1

@mangobango: Yep. The scent is mainly why I use it. If they made a lime and mint non-foaming, I would have no hesitation swapping.

              • @Munki: Yeah fair enough, I like the orange smell so it works well for me.

      • why do people like foaming soap hand wash??

        • +4

Feels nice, covers your hands more effectively than non foaming.

        • +1

My kids will keep pumping until their entire hands are covered. The foam is easier for them to see and uses less product.

  • will it be a better value if i just water down the regular soap? is it a 1:10 ratio of soap & water?

    • For foaming yes it's better value to get the regular soap.

1:3 ratio of soap to water I've found works best.

    • you might need lots of it with a name like that

      • that's why i am trying to find the best value, i need a lot of soap :)

  • +1
  • let's get some SOOOOOOOOAP

  • Do we need a foaming dispenser to use foaming liquid?

    Thanks op. Did s&s

      This is The (ozbargain) Way.

  • I think 5% cashback via TopCashback (and probably other cashback sites) as categorised under Beauty

In true ozb fashion, I still dilute the foaming one further, half soap and half water. haha! Personal preference as I find it still too strong for my dry hands.

    • This is indeed the way, if you feel you truly must use foaming instead of just using regular soap at 1:10 ratio in a foaming dispenser

      • yea, currently stuck with 3 full bottles at the moment. I'd try everyone's suggestion with regular soap when my loot is finished.

  • iirc, I get these in 500ml for $1.50 at KFL.

While I equally appreciate this deal, disappointing part is that this had to be one of the best Prime day deals.. really, Amazon? Every year it's a lower low in terms of disappointment from the Prime day deals.
