    In before @Jimothy Wongingtons

I think it will look good on you Jimothy 😀 especially in green.

I would… if I didn’t wear my sd1970 green on ss most of the time .. I used to never wear a watch on weekends and to sleep… now though…

Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night, checking the time and getting blinded by that awesome lume. If you shut your eyes you can still see the time for the next 5 minutes due to retina damage.

  • Green looks great but red would be even better I think!

For everyone else, I basically copy-pasted the June post by WN.

I prefer this one which has more going on with the chronograph and 24h functions.

  • It is interesting how OzBargain goes through phases. Certain categories of products are popular for a period of time. At the moment watch and SSD deals appear very frequently.

I like the appearance of this Citizen watch but will refrain from purchasing since I acquired a handsome $52.50 watch a month ago. A person doesn't need more than 2 watches (my other is an ancient Seiko digital watch).

      A person doesn't need more than 2 watches…

You could argue a person doesn’t need a watch at all these days - in fact, many people have done just that in watch deal threads. Those who buy more than one are most likely doing so for reasons other than acquiring a timepiece. The same could be said for sneaker collectors, you’ve only got one pair of feet so why do you need multiple pairs of shoes? It’s more a case of want vs. need, which can probably be applied to quite a majority of deals on this web site

      • "A person doesn't need more than 2 watches…"

I say this time after time.

I have multiple pairs of jeans, so…

      • You don't have to put your watch in the wash though.

  • If this had an automatic way of adjusting time (like bluetooth or gps), it would be perfect.

    • +1

It's quartz solar so once you set the time it will be good for months. Regardless it takes less than a minute to adjust it.

      • You do have to adjust the date depending on the month though.

I have had one watch - an eco-drive - for the last 16 years.
Many scratches, but as long as it occasionally gets some light, it will just keep ticking.

Note that I don't wear it much in winter (long sleeves cover it up too much, cold metal band),
so it sits in a darkish room near the front door, waiting for spring :-)

Ours get a day in an east-facing window box every 10 days or so.
