Clearing out old model for the new NZXT Kraken AIO

  • Bought this when it came out and has been working great

  • Does it use water or coolants ?

  • Would this work for am5. Or do I need adapter

  • Between a 280 to this 360 much difference in temps cooling, anyone know from experience on any cpu setup?

    • I recently switched from a 280 to 360 and there wasn’t much difference on my 5900x. I think your case air flow and setup make more of a difference.

I only changed because I have the radiator top mounted and the 280 was too wide and hit my ram. I actually prefer the 280 coolers because the bigger fans are quieter.

      • is your case ATX?

        • Yeah a Fractal Define something or rather. Can't remember what it's called.

    • "280 and 360 AIOs are almost similar. These are not exact values but consider multiplying the dimensions:

      120mm x 240mm = 28800mm2
      140mm x 280mm = 39200mm2
      120mm x 360mm = 43200mm2

The difference between a 240 and a 280 is significantly bigger than the difference between a 280 and a 360. Bigger surface area translates to better cooling."

Stolen from a Reddit post, but this seems to be a good guideline

Deal over? Coming up as $403 for me now :(

    • Seems so

    • not a trivial price increase.

This company's AIOs are expensive. Does anyone else do the same thing but much cheaper? I want one with the temp reading. Seems a hefty premium to pay for that.

  • Ding, miss it! Was able to get it but too sleepy.
