Eggs Going to $15 Per Dozen ?

Will we see $15 per dozen eggs as drumming all over the news headlines, as a result of phasing out caged eggs ?

Some reporting New Zealand already been paying $12 for their eggs. Is that true ?

Edit: Some Ozb confirmed paying $1 per egg / average $9 per dozen in NZ

I reckon this is another ploy to raise prices to match "inflation" just like everyone else. Got to find a reason or two for the price increase right? 🤷‍♂️

supermarket eggs have antibiotic and other residues from feed, medicines, immunisations, egg colouring, worming etc

  • Lots of money to be made; anyone looking for switch careers ?

  • This is real. Im in NZ right now and can't get eggs for less than NZ$10.50 a dozen at countdown

Chicken thigh is NZ$24.50 (A$22.70) per kg!

  • At $12 to $15 per dozen I suppose it becomes viable to set up & maintain a chicken run with a few hens. Assuming there's a yard to do so.
