Bought an Air fryer from Amazon yesterday and only got 1% cashback with CR so doubt you would get 20%

    • CR upped the rates this morning for Kitchen category https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/787373

      • I think its under Home category

        • Yeah you're right, 10% cashback

        • It is under Kitchen category according to 3C.

    • It’s actually 20% cash back on all kitchen products sold and shipped by Amazon AU.
      Started this morning.

Oh wow rapid air technology lol

  • is good

  • +2

    FYI, it’s 4.1L

  • +1

Is there any big difference between this airfryer and others you can get ie: Mistral 3.5l (besides the fact its slightly bigger?).

    • +2

      built quality.

    • +4

Honestly, the Phillips Air fryers are a completely different product to cheap air fryers. I think the magic is in how they direct the air flow or something, but whatever it is it cooks faster and more evenly than the cheap air fryers.

    • +2

I had the Mistral 3.5l device from Woolworths for a couple of years, loved it.
When the bottom tray kept falling I decided to upgrade to this one at a TGG sale for $99.
That's it, it is an upgrade in every sense.
Better heating throughout, easier cleaning and a tray system which is foolproof.
      Love it much more.
At this price with CR rebate you can't go wrong. NOTE: this size is an airfryer for up to 2 people, not a family.

Thanks all ill take a chance on this one! Seems like a steal with the 20% + other discounts ive got from amazon credit haha.

I have owned the mistral. I own this one now. I was moving and sold the mistral
Both wouldnt work for a family as said. I prefer the phillips.

      • What minimum size for families?

  • Does anyone own this model comment on the quality of the item please? Thank you

    • Have the digital XL one, and used this elsewhere you certainly notice the inaccurate nature of the analog controls. Less so the temperature, but the timer was that little more indeterministic and ended up overcooking the food. I'm sure you would get used to it.

I think the next model up with a digital control is hundreds more and how they can justify that I don't know.

    • Not this but I have a different essential model and a premium model and actually prefer the essential because it's easier to use and clean, and I don't use the programs from the premium one. Having said that, my essential is digital so not sure if analogue is much of a drop off. I'd be more concerned about the size tbh.

got it 3 years ago, still going strong.
Great quality, simple build and easy to clean cause of metal plate mesh instead of actual mesh.
if you're lazy to clean, my recommendation is use baking paper make a container to place under the food.

    • The timer knob broke on mine. Apparently not a replacement part. But don’t worry I just have to drive an hour to wantirna to have the service technician assess it to see if it can be fixed and if not they will issue a replacement. Their customer service is an absolute joke.

      • Also have one, also broken timer knob. Plenty of other knobs online (lol) for cheap but not going to be identical.

My main issue with it is its just a tad too small. You wouldn't cook for more than 2 people with this

        • How many litres for whole chicken family

  • Lowest was this $79 in this deal.

    • This was an error with the code and I wouldn't bet on it being repeated

  • +1

I still have the original Philips air fryer. The heating element is a real pain to clean. Is the new model any different?

  • Thanks op, purchased one stacked with CR + Bano

  • This vs the Instant Pot Vortex Plus5.7l ? (which is currently sold out but will be back no doubt)

    • +1

The Instant Pot Vortex is superior in every way as a device.

The downside though is currently the company is temporarily filing chapter 11 in the US to restructure, so you just need to make sure you buy it from an Australian retailer or Amazon themselves & then your warranty is still covered.

      • Instant pots such an iconic name how can this be??

  • +1

care to name a few ways its superior beyond a larger capacity?

  • I got this one from Telstra points a while back, it's good but much smaller than the other airfryer we have but use it for gluten free foods only.

  • Mine arrived today, so much smaller than I was expecting. Never had an airfryer before so 4L didn't sound small at the time.
I cant be bothered to return it so going to sell it on Facebook for what I paid and wait for a larger one.

    • But selling on FB would be more effort than an Amazon return, surely?

      • Not really had any issues selling on FB. Just gotta put up with the 30x "is this still available" before somebody actually want to buy it
