  • Any recommendations on a drill bit set to accompany the Ryobi combo set from this week? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/787086

Nice. Get a few 10mm variants to lose!

There's only one ratchet. It uses an adaptor to use the 1/4 parts

    • Oh whoops. Thanks for pointing that out. I’ve added an edit to the post.

  • Any advice on a breaker bar?

Try the Daytona brand from Sydney tools reasonably price and worth the money

  • Throw the ratchet out and buy the toolpro equivalent. Stanley ratcheting tools are absolute snot in my experience as a former employee returning them, and as former consumer also (ratchets x3 and ratcheting spanners x set returned for toolpro).

finished with Stanley's special black coating

That sounds like a dumb idea, black is the most difficult colour to spot if you drop a socket and it rolls under your workbench.

With silver coating, if you can't find it immediately, just wait until night and use a torch to look for the shiny reflection.

  • Comes up to $1.20/piece which is pretty good considering inflation.

I posted this back in 2018 when it was under $1/piece.

  • So it says Now $69. What was it before this?

Same question for the 69 piece.
