Nice to see these passes back cheap

  • +5

Cheaper than the 'Locals OnePass' at $219. They were only $179 last year, so this is a good deal for everyone

    • Was $169 in Sep 2021. But I got it at $119 with a $50 voucher

      • Where do you get that voucher from?

        • From state/local government. But it was probably due to reopening after pandemic restrictions.

    • i thought it was $189 if memory serves me correct?

  • +1

    Children age limit?

    • 3-13yo. Under 3 is free

      • how much they charge for the ticket for kids 3-13yo?

    • 65

      • jv enters free. Just has to show his ozb account ans take selfies with staff at the entrance

    • No need for proof of age as I remember from a few years back. Height was what they looked at.

      • +1

        What about weight?

      • +1

        Girth?

  • Anyone know if these expire? Going in December next year

    • +6

Yes, must be activated within 12 months of purchase.

Enjoy 12 months unlimited entry to all 4 Parks: Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast and Paradise Country with a 4 Park Pass.

Pass must be presented for first use within 12 months from the date of purchase (failing which it will be deemed void and not able to be used).

      Afterpay available.

      • +1

so will it last nearly 2 years if you first validate it, say Jun 1 2024 and then it'll expire end of Jun 2025

        • +3

Yeah it's one year after activation. So if you activate in the next 12 months, you then have 12 months to use it

          • +1

@JBxrm: It does mean you have to actually turn up at the gate to activate it though.

            • @jv: Yes sorry, good catch! @Hudcon First VISIT must be in 12 months from now

  • Do you have to have a photo attached to these passes?

    • +2

      Yes required at first entry

    • +1

Yeah but basically anyone with the same complexion will be good to use it.

      • omg racist

        • But like, in a beneficial way for you?

          Positive racism?

      • this is semi fair. I’m fair skinned blonde and in my youth in Canada and US gave some of my ID to other girls of similar appearance to go out partying together. Once it was three girls on my ID in one night one club 😆 I think if you look the part and know what you’re doing in these situations you’re generally okay.

  • +1

Any idea when this deal ends??

    • Keen to this too!

    • yeah, anyone know when it ends? I'm too lazy to fill out all the details tonight..

      • +8

17 july per the terms and conditions page https://themeparks.com.au/terms-and-conditions#current

        • Superbird do you know where in the terms it says 17th July end date for the deal?

          Under the terms for the “Four Park Pass” it only says;

“Entitles admission to Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast and Paradise Country during normal advertised operating days and hours for one (1) year from the date of first visit. Pass covers all rides, shows and attractions (you must pay independently for all food, beverage and merchandise) subject to the same exclusions as noted above for the Single Day Pass and Paradise Country One Day Pass unless otherwise advised.
Must be first used within 12 months from date of purchase (failing which it will be deemed void and not able to be used). No extension to validity period is available.”

        • It only mentions that for an escape pass July 17th

  • -3

    what do there?

  • Thanks OP!

  • +14

Be aware that this does not include:
1 free entry to White Christmas 2023 at Movie World - valued at $89!

1 free entry to Sea World Spooky Nights 2023 - valued at $69!
Free Virtual Queue for Warner Bros. Movie World and Sea World

Compare to $219 local pass & $299 one pass

    • Any chance you know if the ones they sell at Costco include the things you have listed ? $164.95 super pass 4 parks 7 days

    • Can you still go to movie world in the month of december with the pass?

      • +1

Yeah, you just can’t stay for the parades/events after closing time

        • thank you :)

    • i'm not seeing where you're not eligible for virtual queue - aren't all guests able to use it in the app?

      • I still had the prompt telling me to "Get the Theme Parks App" with this:
        You'll also get
        • Free Virtual Oueue
        • Ride wait times during your visit
        • Maps and wayfinding. Plus, shows & presentation times!

    • +1

      Definitely includes Virtual Que!

    • +1

Anyone been to these? Are they worth going to?

      • -4

Yes, not good value, far too many rides closed. If you do go, be prepared to pay a premium to stand in queues for hours and then be bent over for very average vittles.

    • I bought these discount passes and it said it came with virtual queue, just not the night time events.

  • +4

I remember getting this same pass for $89 each years ago. Haven't times changed.

    • +2

back when soft serve was 20c

      • +3

30c. The good old days. Maybe 5-6 years ago now.

    • +2

Got them for $79 each 2 years ago

      • +1

Nice. Them were the days. We used to go yearly but then found Bali.

      • yes $79 seemed to be the price I got for 3 parks a few years ago

    • also could get discounted tickets by attending a meeting back then

    • I remember paying $95 for my 3 year old to go a few weeks ago.

      • Man what a rip!

Several years ago we got $99 adult passes which included a free child and then our youngest was still free so 5 ppl for $198. Don't think they had the night stuff though.

  • Keep in mind that there are several rides under maintenance (Movie World and Sea World) making the pass value lower.

    • +1

      Which rides are under maintenance?

      • +4

        90% of them generally.

        • +7

Unfortunately, amusement parks in Australia is a real shit show from what I gather. Over-priced and low quality.

          • +2

@virhlpool: The passes used to be good value, we would take the kids for something to do every now and then. Now, half the rides are closed, the place is full of a million people even in the off season and outside school holidays, a burger the size of a slider is $20 etc etc. Won't be buying passes this year.

          • +2

@virhlpool: Correct. I went recently after ~10 years and the parks have hardly updated since my last visit, everything is slightly dated and worse, many rides closed, and just overall a pretty underwhelming experience

            • +1

@devs: It's a sad fact that many countries have better parks than ours despite ours being some of the most expensive ones. I wonder why we can't have world-class parks especially when we are a tourism-driven economy and a high volume of tourists visit our cities every single year. Look at Luna park, Jamberoo, our zoos.. or even events like Vivid Sydney, for example. They are all just okay'ish at best.. nothing world-class really although ticket prices are always up there.

              • +4

@virhlpool: Highest minimum wages in the world. Wages are about 50% of the costs of a theme park (just checked Dreamworld's financial statements) plus indirectly a large component of many other costs.

Same reason pretty much all consumer services are expensive and not very good in Australia.

                • @CheapBrah: I guess people would still deal with the high price (simply as they are used to) IF at least the quality was great.

            • @devs: Guessing you haven't played "Theme: Park"? Owners have to decide how much of takings should be spent on maintenance. This affects "customer happiness/satisfaction" and entry rates eventually.

    • +3

Nothing except for Scooby-Doo (undergoing a big upgrade and will be out of action for a long time) is under maintenance at Movie World at the moment.

      • Doomsday actually works?

      • Misleading……more often than not, these joints under-staff rides, subsequently the rides are either not running to capacity or are 'temporarily' closed.

      • +1

Scooby-Doo is my favourite. Will be interested to see what they change.

        • Mine too. Hopefully it will be better than the terrible “Next Generation” upgrade they did last time. I get a feeling it will be a SCOOB version which would be a shame because the original movie will always be king.

  • -2

Any deals on single entry or one-week passes?

  • -1

Any deals on 2-park or 3-park?

    • Yes, but those are all expensive then this.

    • This, pretty much the cheapest on anything you are going to buy other than a single day one park ticket.

  • And anyone tried Theme Parks eGift Card for further discount?

    • I dont see any discounts on the egift cards

      • +2

this almost perfect for the amount

        • Nice find

        • +1

Thanks! Swapped the egift cards through Prezzee, went through all good. Thanks.

    • This would work without issue

  • Hopefully Dreamworld come out with a good deal to match!

    • +1

Unlikely considering this is a targeted offer code that has leaked and their passes are cheaper in general.

  • Worth noting this is a targeted offer, to those interested I suggest you jump on it ASAP as they may shut down the code getting widespread use.

Generally speaking the 4 Park Annual Pass isn’t available for direct sales, as others have noted the closest equivalent (One Pass) is $219 for locals and $299 for everyone else. But this pass includes special events and offers this doesn’t.

  • No brainer for people living around gold coast. Good on you guys…
While sydney people need to fork out $150 just for luna park annual pass

    • I live on the GC but won't be buying it.. not much point if you're single and don't fancy visiting theme parks on your own

      • tinder can fix that :)

  • Thanks OP! Saved me a couple hundred dollars (locals pass).

  • +1

Don’t bother going to these theme parks during school holidays unless you’re willing to fork out for the Fast Track, and be sure to use your Virtual Queue passes asap, as they fill up very quickly.

  • So you got 12mo to activate then 12-mo to use it is that correct?

Im from Melbourne chances are ill end up in Gold Coast with the kids in the next year might give it a ago if thats the case?
