Are you sure using a code won't disqualify the CBA Cashback? I can't see the offer on my CBA Rewards to be able to read the T&C's but based on how CR, SB and TopCashBack do things if you use a code that's not approved by them it disqualifies the cashback, I assume the same logic would apply with CBA Rewards?
I've found the CBA cashback to be much more lenient. For example, I used my Big W exclusive 10% discount code for a Big W CBA cashback and it still awarded it.
In fact I actually refunded about half the order as well after I was paid out the cashback and it didn't debit it from my account post refund (that was months ago) so I don't think they are quite as sophisticated as Cashreward/Shopback. YMMV.
Upon inspecting the T&Cs in my CBA app I can't see any reference to other codes invalidating it or even that I am not allowed to refund the order (less relevant for Menulog as you arent going to refund the items a week later after its paid) but maybe its somewhere on their website, not sure but I'll take my chances.
Turns out I do have the offer on my CBA Rewards.
Unfortunately It does say "Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer" so I'm guessing that's basically their way of saying 'Use a code = no cashback for you' so yeah probably not a great idea but hey if someone wants to test it out and report back then by all means.
@Empharand: Perhaps they are talking about any other CBA offer but are being vague. I would be interested how they could possibly know the transaction details since its only a Mastercard transaction from CBA side. My guess is different to your guess

@Empharand: That’s not how it works fortunately. Cashback from banks operate differently, as long as your final amount (after all discount applied) is above the requirement, they will give it to you.
I think there's no way they can access transaction details, all their system is programmed to do should be to detect amount spent by their card, which if above $30 will trigger cashback
Exactly. I would struggle to see how they will be able to track if you refunded the order after the offer was paid too

I ordered 35 dollars of food two days ago. It seems like nothing changed in my commbank app. The offer is still activated and it doesn’t give me any hint about whether the cash back is going to be there or not. Is it normal?
