Ordered but no free Uber delivery for QLD 4019

    • Just checked and showing free delivery for me with your suburb. It may be that the specific item you were looking for was not available in a store within 20km to you.

  • no free uber delivery for VIC 3012

    • The items you were purchasing may not be in stock in a store within 20km to you, I'm afraid :(

  • any idea to re-register HP instant ink for used printer? tried once it said "serial number already registered".

    O Brother, Where Art Thou?

    • 🤣

    • brother market some of their printers as inktank printers but its the same cartridge as their inkjet printers. …. probably a slightly more printing capacity but nowhere near the printing capacity of the inktank rinters from Epson and canon. very misleading. my brother MFC J6920DW has malfunctioned after 5 yrs of use… Brother reckons its a printhead issue and they suggested replace the printer because of its age . waiting for my epson et16600 to arrive

    Very good timing!
Uber free delivery worked for me :)

  • Ordered with free Uber delivery, after payment then bounced back with “delivery expired” or something & no longer showing free Uber.

C&C not available at my 2 closest JB’s, but plenty further away.

Why not buying compatible inks instead?

    • +1

why not generic inks / toner ?

      • These are sufficiently cheap and long lasting that I could not be arsed worrying about third party inks. My previous printer was used for ~4 years and I refilled it once.

        • arent inks notorious for clogging up/maintenance when left unused ?

          • @capslock janitor: Unopened inks should be fine. If you leave your printer plugged in and turned on over those four years it will be fun too, it will purge a little ink itself periodically to prevent clogging if you aren't using it.

          • @capslock janitor: Which is why I would not be arsed with third party inks in a printer that I intended to run for 5+ years.

My last inkjet printer ran fine for years. I only got rid of it because I moved country. It would run the occasional print head cleaning cycle.

But yeah, I would expect a laser to be more reliable. I never had to worry about that failing or mis-printing at all.

    • Fade.

      • wym

        • Generic ink will fade faster with photo prints. It's widely understood in the photo printing community, loads of tests have been performed with people printing the same thing in compatible and genuine ink and mounting them next to each other on the wall, wall facing sun, on car dash, outside, etc. Compatible always fades much faster. You ever see someone has a recent photo somewhere that has turned almost completely white with a shadow of yellow/magenta? They probably used compatible ink to print the photo, and probably used cheap photo paper. Canon claim their prints will last a long time, my inkset claims the print will last 300 years in "archival" conditions. And some tests I've seen say it'll fade 62 times slower than some of the more popular value compatible inks.

          • @AustriaBargain:

            "archival" conditions

            muwhahaha :)

I really used to think that too. Who stores anything in a house in "archival" conditions though. Get photos printed at Officeworks, HNs or Camera shop - last longer. Unless of course they're dirty photos..

  • Would be great if I could get laser toner, but not for my brother…

  • +1

    would officeworks price match this?

    • +1

Yep! It doesn't require a coupon, so they should

  • Of course they don’t have CLI42.

  • I have the Epson ET-2500. Uses t664 ink. I wonder why you can't use t502?
    How different are the inks?

Thanks for the post, stocked up since I work from home and also took advantage of the 90-minute uber delivery from my local store.

Thanks OP! As far as I know ink sales like this are rare so I stocked up. Free Uber delivery as well, couldn't have been any better.

My inks were just delivered. Thanx OP.

  • Thanks. I got 4 black and 2 colour. It should last a while.

  • $uber share +80% ~?

  • Done PB with OW. Thx op

  • The last time they had this ink clearance I still couldn't get ink for my printer, and again I still can't. It's a WF3000 series not that old either, 252 I believe, might just settle for 3rd party ink I don't think eco tank owners need discounted inks - its cheap enough lol
