No there’s a sensor just replace existing dock with it.

But how does it refill clean water if you use a S7?
It refills the onboard water of the robot and scrubs the mopping pad
The clean reservoir will empty and the dirty one will fill up
You will need to manually refill this and empty the dirty water out (it smells if you leave it too long)
There is a plumbed in kit on AliExpress so you don’t have to do manual water change but it’s like $400
Put a couple of drops of antibacterial wash in the dirty water tank after you empty it. No more bad smell.

Thanks for the deal. If you are like me, who bought the S7 MaxV Plus from the previous deal but only realised the provided dock could not support proper mopping after the purchase, this is the fix.
What do you mean it does not support proper mopping?
If you’re referring to water streaks, I found that it was because the mop cloth was hard and worn out. It’s needs thorough wetting before a mopping session. No more streaks.
The station doesn't have ability to auto change water and clean mop pad. As a result, the tiny water tank in the robot (200ml) is not capable to compete task of mop the whole house without being able to change the water and clean the pad by itself.
Sorry if this is a dumb question: if I buy this dock and a Roborock S7 separately, do I get the same functionality as buying the Roborock S7 Maxv Ultra 'bundle' that combines the robot and the dock?
I googled this and found a convincing reddit thread which reckons S7 CANNOT be used with ultra dock, water filling does not work. Seems like only way to make it work is to buy a S7 MachV which with buying this would cost more than buying the bundle.
No it will not. You need to buy the plus/max version. The normal S7 was released first and does not have the auto fill port.
Do they sell the Roborock S7 MaxV standalone? Or would I be stuck with 2 docks if I buy this?
They do I went this route as it was cheapest for me at the time
There are 3 version standard with the charger dock, plus with the vacuum empty dock and ultra with the water refill mop washer vacuum empty
Is this hard to program to work with my s7?
