  This use of plastic (fake leather) headbands and ear pads, and not have them replaceable is insane. After 2 years they fall apart and the product essentially dies.

        But the headband isn't. Just a tad annoying when they start peeling. No reason they can't be cloth.

  I got a pair of roughly $250 yamaha headphones a few years back, sounded great - lasted about that 2 year mark before they started disintegrating, much to my dissapointment.
