  • Was about to say that its pretty cold in sydney tonight

    • I've been using 2 of the 65W bricks for over a year and no noises, no heat, no fuss, perfect.

I really don't know why Heymix cops so much flack on Ozbargains.

Because two of thousands is an irrelevant statistic. People have since teardown of a few of their products and they show fundamental safety failures in design.

Ok can you show me the teardown on the 65w brick that shows what you are claiming?

Because they’re ticking time bombs if you look into their circuit topology in any teardowns.

        Its a matter of when.

        • +3

think you need to link to tear downs to substantiate claims.

        • Then which brand / model you would recommend?
          thanks

Fire jokes aside, I bought 2 of these and they both blew the fuse within one week of use. Make sure to test it before travelling if you decide to buy it.

    5v 2.4a max.. No thanks…

    • That's the DC output. It's what mostly you can find on a travel adaptor especially at this price range

Bought 2 of those for $3.88 altogether in June and have used them several times. No issues.

    • How did you buy for $3.88 for 2?

      • +1

        He got lucky

      • Lightning deal and a code made it happen.

    • Haven't had issues with mine but do notice it sags a bit with some outputs because of it being bottom heavy. A prop at the bottom that slides out would have helped to steady it against walls.

As far as I can tell this isn't really for travelling with, rather for using in Australia (or your chosen male outlet) with overseas electrical items.

    • Why did you say that when it is clearly for traveling with.

      • Because it appears to be designed to fit multiple male plugs from many countries to plug into the adaptor but the actual adaptor only comes with the plug you ask for which goes into the wall outlet?

I.e. if you order an Australian plug it's for use only within Australia (for overseas tourists travelling here)

EDIT: Oh I see now….each plug is extended from the bottom using the slides on the side. It wasn't very clear viewing on a mobile device.

I'm in Hawaii right now using one.

  • Can't see any 50% discount button!

    • Yeah looks like it’s gone. Dun see it too
