Baby Bunting Price Promise: 5% Price Beat Online and in-Store @ Baby Bunting

93

Less of a specific Ozbargain, more of an Ozreminder or Ozawareness…

But my wife and I have recently found out that in ~6 months time, there will be a few more expenses coming our way!

My sister told me she always finds the cheapest price online and then gets it beaten by 5% BabyBunting (she picks up at the local store ~5 mins from her house). She says it works online also (but is a bit cluncky).

TopCashBack also offers 5% off online (potential stack) and with discounted gift cards… triple stack potential 😎

Read the T/Cs to see if it'll work for you!

Baby bunting is in every street these days. We are in premium landfill times.
On way back from shops there was 3 car seats (make sure the belts aren't damaged, no cracks in plastic and it's in date..good to go). So much myth rubbish around kids seats. They are just blow mould plastic! Anyway, picked up an electric car (goes awesome with a drill battery), and have a choice of two trampolines and infinite bikes, scooters, monitors, change tables etc etc.

Never used to notice it, but once you have a kid, it's everywhere. I don't recon you really need to buy anything..and most stuff is a couple of years old tops.

Not having a go at you OP for this neg.

BB are ducking weasels when it come to PM+ 5% beat promise.

    • Refused to PM items on Amazon on prime day because, it was prime membership price (even tho its free for 30 days).

    • They work with manufacturers to create BB exclusive products (eg, change in fabric colour and products name.. Pria LX, BB = Pria) and refuse PM because its not same product. But 99% of product is the same.

    • They refuse interstate PM if they dont do delivery.

    • They add on postage even if its a brick and mortar stores.

In short, they pull a Bunnings and im avoiding dealing with them in the future because of their shifty BS.

Again, ty for post OP but these guys are aresholes.

Disagree with you, they always on sale, no worst than officeworks price match (which is incontinence), and staff are really helpful.

“no worst than officeworks price match”, so they are both bad in your head..

        • Personally BB is better, more sale items. Inconsistencie price matchings usually annoyes me more.

Inconsistencie price matchings usually annoyes me more.

            100% agree!!

While BB has stuff on special, there RRP are usually inflated to begin with. So "special", ain't anything to write home about.

    • Nah, I appreciate the discussion :)

      • Cheers mate 👍

I would recommend checking out FaceBook marketplace for 2nd hand stuff.
Obviously some things you might want to get brand new, but a lot of 2nd hand stuff is in very good condition and will save you a lot.
We went to Baby Bunting but we've never actually bought anything from there.

This is such a great point. I think that new parents often run to these big retailers, pants down and wallet open, ready to spend whatever they’re told is necessary for their beloved child. All went intended, but such a waste of money. We’re one year into parenthood and thankfully had some wise friends share the same advice. Facebook Marketplace is a gold mine for quality secondhand baby gear.

It's tricky to get the price match.
E.g. another website gives you a lower price after using a discount code, but Baby Bunting will only match sticker prices without the discount code.

The price match policy is really just Baby Bunting signalling to other retailers, "Don't bother to compete with us on price, because customers will use your price as leverage and buy it from us with price beat."

  • Are posts like this really direct bargains?

You only get a cheaper price IF you can find the item somewhere else cheaper first (technically you have to find a bargain first to get a better one), then as others have mentioned it's a bit of a lottery whether these guys will match it.

Their points scheme also changed this year. Points cannot be used on price-matched items, points can't be used on everyday purchases. Can't be redeemed in bulk. They also love their BB exclusive colors, to stop their price matching. Thats why personally if I can find it cheaper elsewhere, I'll support that business.

  • All dramas, never price bear by 5% only price match
