How's the quality compared to other brands? I have a couple of jackets from other brands and the seams have come apart after 1.5yrs
It used to be good. You would be lucky for the seams to last 1.5y now. Macpac is equivalent to Kmart in quality now.
Macpac has gone to the same quality as the Outrak gear from Ray's Outdoors which all got rebranded to Macpac when Supercheap bought 'em out. Now you find Macpac gear in Supercheap-owned chains (BCF, Rebel and of course Macpac)

Was a size up for my wife. Is a very light jacket so if you intend to wear in proper winter, underlayers will be required
Quality is trash. Wife not wearing it as it is not warm enough. So basically I just wasted money. Get something else if you need to combat the cold.

The “Uber light” description should have been the clue that it won’t block arctic winds.
This is OK for spring or autumn. Also quality has gone downhill. OK for $99 but no more - that's what I paid at the end of last season.
Bad fashion. Classic overcoat much better.
Don't buy it without seeing it in store.
Kinda expensive concidering I got 3 men's ones for 36$ each a few months back.
I bought one of these for my wife last year, I think she's worn it about 3 or 4 times. She still prefers her Macpac Halo jacket.
