300nit is pretty low. I find it amazing how backwards laptops screens have gone. My Surface Pro 6, which is now 5 years old has a better resolution and brightness. If you plug it into a dock most of the time then I guess it won't matter.

    • 300nit should be at least the minimum standard for all new laptop screens in 2023, 250 nit brightness screens that come with the Victus 16 for a example absolutely suck indoors even in a well lit room

You are comparing apples to oranges. This is a semi-matte screen 300nits is still legible in sunlight where as the surface with a gloss screen would require 400-500 to achieve the same.

  • I hope Dell is selling these Vostro with better batteries than my 2020 model, with just 3 hours browsing max before needing to charge. Now it's 2 hours.

  • Great find. Thanks for sharing
