  • Is anyone using these for cyber labs / with hypervisors?

  • Well that was a waste. I ordered a display port to hdmi adapter…. This thing came with a hdmi port…

  • Received mine this morning. Pretty disappointed.
The chassis came damaged, making it hard to open the chassis.
Getting a boot error everytime I boot the machine due to sys time sync.
I thought id get a hp native wifi card but a 3rd party usb wifi dongle which is unexpected.
The charger although it works has been bent pretty bad and doesnt look entirely safe to use.
Bought refurb stuff on ebay before but this is definitely below average.

  • I got mine today, not sure how these pass as refurbed. I have taken apart the chassis and there’s plenty of dust inside that blows away via breathing, so unsure that these are actually “refurbished” rather than just resold.

Just picked mine up from the Post Office today. Took it out of the packaging, quick inspection shows quite a bit of dust underneath the top lid. Turned it on, no issue, straight into Windows setup. Took it outside to undo the top lid. As per the listing:

Condition: Very Good - Refurbished: The item shows minimal wear and is backed by a one-year warranty. It is fully functional and has been professionally refurbished, inspected and cleaned to very good condition by qualified sellers.

There was no cleaning done anywhere on this thing. It was caked in dust, all the fans had a layer of dust, and a few balls of dust floating around, as well as a layer of dust all over the top of the components, such as the SDD. Took the heatsink off, caked in more dust. I doubt very much other than turning it on and ensuring it boots, that anything else had been done, let alone 'PROFESSIONALLY REFURBISHED, INSPECTED AND CLEANED'. I am not mad about the purchase, but buyer beware in future of what they actually do before selling these machines.

Same thing for me - I just took mine entirely apart and gave it a good clean this evening with some canned air and isopropyl alcohol. Also reapplied thermal paste. Looks as good as new now. And runs quiet!

Everything else is as you described. Overall condition is great.

  • I managed to buy 2. Now I no longer want it. Happy to sell it to some Ozbargainers missed on this deal for the same price I bought it.
