I like your honesty "Or if you prefer the comfort of eBay we have the "Jacked Up" $7,799 price tag to cover the $500~$600 seller fees:".

Obviously as buyers we know sellers face the sellers fees. Easy for us to forget just how extreme they are for you sellers though. Wow. To be eBay.

    • +3

Yes they are extreme. But I understand some buyers would like the added comfort of eBay's buyer protection. So trying to cater for some.

    • +1

Private sellers eat like 13-14% in fees. Only if you have business subscriptions does it get down to 6%~ range, category dependent.

      • +3

Correct. We have an eBay store subscription but unless you are moving some serious sales to get the top tier subscription, even that still brings the $500+ in fees at the listed price.

  • +6

I can't imagine this deal is subject to impulse buys, but just be aware that it takes expertise to correctly process and interpret what this captures. It's the difference between a pretty picture and scientifically robust spectral data captured with surveying grade accuracy. If you compare captures over time, you have to use calibration.

Great to see remote sensing tech on ozbargain.

    • +1

Spot on. DJI Terra has simplified the process some-what but it is extremely expensive to maintain the subscription unless it is for serious work/write off. Not really viable for a consumer or hobbyist. I am yet to try Metashape with multispectral analysis but have had good results with it and Pix4D in surveying.

      • +1

I believe our workplace uses both. Our use cases include environmental monitoring, survey, etc. The camera on this one looks good, and support for RTK positioning.

        • It sure is. The M3M shares the same 20MP 4/3" CMOS mechanical shutter as the M3E - so depending on overlap you can achieve speeds of 15m/s dependent on where you are 0.7 seconds later…(the interval speed). So it is a good alternative say for the likes of a surveyor who does not need the 56x zoom functionality to substitute it with the multispectral cameras.

  • How big is this drone for that price?!

    • +1

Honestly the features the Mavic 3 Enterprise pack for their size are one of their selling points, particularly for FIFO workers. The Mavic 3 Enterprise series are the cheaper end of the commercial quality drones, we carry the others but these are the bigger sellers at present. Still noticeably bigger than say a Mini 3 pro, around 347x280mm obviously the build quality on one of these is second to none compared to a consumer level drone like a Mini 3. The Mini 3 Pro feels very cheap in the hand next to this. There are also stringent CASA regulations for night ops ReOC holders - the M3E and M3T are able to adequately meet these if planned in a business' operations manual and procedures.

  • Are they preprogrammed to fly to the delivery address (free)?

not sure if any real farmer with such big farms have any time to be on OZBargain .. lol 😂

    • +2

What does this have to do with the deal? You’re welcome to your thoughts; but this is not the place for them and your neg isn’t relevant to the deal.

    • Read the voting rules champ, your neg is very unfair. Reported.

  • I like the honesty… have a plus vote. People have little clue on how much Ebay takes from sellers. In this case it's very clear how Ebay rips off everyone!

Good that you give people the option to buy direct and both parties can save.

The crop spraying feature is interesting. Might explain why I haven't heard much about chemtrails lately…

  • At this price it better have multispectral viewing capabilities like those discontinued Sony cams!

    • Perhaps it could be set up as an elephant mole & sunspot scanner ;-)

  • -2

    Bargain. I ordered 4.
Should be some fun to have

    • +1

There is always one in every expensive OzBargain deal.

  • +1

If I've never flown a drone before, would this be a good entry point?

    • +2

      Yep, perfect.

I remember taking my Ps test in my Testarossa, the tester took one look at my car and said "I see you're a beginner". When you know, you know.

    • Lol. Sorry mate. Probably stick to a tello drone :) (but we don’t sell them…)

  • good price for the councils to buy 6 pcs to be used for dispersing protesters outside their building.
