    Link not working.
Whats a Lebara mega plan… Is it like a Zebra?
Is the discount ongoing or once off?

    Sounds pretty poor deal anyway

Now, call me odd or slow, but I simply don't understand this deal.
As an example, I, average-old Blokey McBattler, pull up to the petrol station.

    Universe 1 - Normal Procedure
Pay $100 to fill up my Hilux with the VB bumper sticker and sexy mudflaps. Drive off $100 out of pocket with a full tank of gas.

Universe 2 - Procedure with Bargain Implemented
Pay $39.95 + $100 for my tank of gas for my Hilux with the VB bumper sticker and sexy mudflaps. Get my $10 discount as a result of buying the plan. Drive off $129.95 out of pocket, with a full tank of gas and a Lebara Mega Plan.

Unless somebody out there is really hankering for a Lebara Mega Plan, and wants to save $10 in the process, I don't see why I shouldn't just pay my $100 and bugger off home to the wife and kids.

  • Yeah not really a bargain, more like advertising. No thanks.

  • My dad uses Lebera prepaid mobile phone plan regularly, so that's a bargain for me!

Rep please give more details, is this for prepaid mobile phone card recharges as well? Cannot find it in the website and what are the participating stations?

AFAICT the only difference from this offer http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/77193 is the $10 call credit, so can you explain why I would want to spend $100 on petrol to get this plan? Assuming I want it in the first place, purely hypothetical.

  • Why not just get a $24 Lyca unlimited instead?

    • One reason might be Lyca is on Telstra 2G.

      • And do you expect to get better coverage/internet speed with LebaraVoda?
$24 Lyca unlimited is the best unlimited call prepaid option.

        • Sorry I don't use Voda/Lebara and I wouldn't buy it myself, I'm on Amaysim and Optus is quite decent. But with Voda my friend reports 3G speeds at least some of the time. With 2G you never get any 3G speed. Just enable Use 2G Networks Only on your smartphone and you'll see how painful it is.

But of course if you only care about calls, Lyca might be good for you. But that's a different deal.

        • Fair enough. :)
