What's the "graininess" of their Data billing algorithm?

Ie, does using 1 Byte (per session) cost you, eg, 1 KB or 1 MB?

Most Optus resellers (eg, Live Connected) use 1 KB, AFAIK,
as does - and it still surprises me - Telstra.

    • "3GB data charged in 1MB increments, rounded up to the next MB. Data
usage over 3GB (excess data) will be charged at 3c/MB rounded up to the next MB"
      Should be illegal…

  • As "escimojoe" wrote….

I can see no mention of MMS, so I guess they are not included.

RedBull Mobile may be a better bargain with one or their 'deals'?

Eg. 60 days for $39, or 365 days for $265, or 455 days for $366.

    • How do you get the 365 days for $265? Am I oblivious to a deal??

Edit: Err, nevermind … I learnt how to search ;)

      • RedBull site still showing $365 for 365 days (not $265)

        A3Au… did write "Eg."

        • I searched and found this deal - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/64780

It's from 5 months ago … not sure if it's still active or not … actually, I think it might be expired :(

I am out and about with my iPhone. At home I have the link to some 'deals' that includes $100 off the 356 day Pre-pay. These 'deals' are due to expire either the end of August or the end of September. Prity sure it was September and then it must be used/activated within six months.

I will try to post the link when I get back home.

1300 numbers NOT included, only 13XXXX . See the fine print. Very sneaky.

      That's a very STRANGE restriction…

  • Anyone know how they charge for Data?

by the 1 KB or larger "block"?

    • It's in the T&Cs!

  • anyone know where I can get this in store?

  • Given you can get 3GB data at 40% less cost from Optus Woolworths (works better in more places) I'm not entirely sure why this MVNO exist.

The drawcard here must be unlimited. Assuming you can find adequate signal.

  • Hmm, what about making international calls, what happens then ?

    • If you don't have any credit, then they won't be possible.

  • So far in Cairns I've found that Telstra works in every direction at least 100km Optus works in most 100km in every direction and Vodaphone works in every direction about 30-40km. I wouldn't go with Vodaphone unless it was for personal use and I had very good patience, which I don't. However if you live inner city or metropolitan like most people then I would definitely go with Vodaphone just avoid a plan in case you move cus you will get killed.
