Arlec 2x 30W 4800lm LED Worklight with 1.4m Enhanced Tripod $99 + Delivery ($0 C&C/in-Store) @ Bunnings

180

This maybe a bit of a niche deal however I have had this worklight on my watchlist for sometime. It has recently been $119 however I noticed in the upcoming ALDI Special Buys there was a similar work light listed for $99 so I thought I would see if Bunnings had reduced the price of theirs and sure enough, they have.

Arlec… Where you don't pay for any fancy quality.

  • Does this have a power switch on the unit itself or is it just plug in to turn on?

    • looks like its just plug in and on - cant verify as no link for manual

shame about the 2m power cord. Looks alright for the money. Be pretty hard to cobble something similar (2 floodlights and a decent tripod stand AND have it meet ip65 standard) together for $99 i reckon .

    • This is in the description of the post.

      • Just to let peeps know the price history. $99 since 6/6/23.

Any idea on how it practically compares to the 2x 20w version? For half the price I'd be tempted to get two..

Depends on what you're using it for, how big is the area, how dark is it, what are you doing?

Imo nothing more frustrating than working in not enough light - 3200 lumen is bright when talking source lumen, but the beam is very wide, and fall off will be probably too high anywhere after 3m as a task light. The jump up to 4800 is only incremental though, not talking double. If you can position the light closer to where you are working I think the 2x 20w would be sufficient for many tasks.

It'd be used for some close-range flood so seems to be the better option, with the added benefit of spreading 2 lights over a wider area. Thanks for the input!

One advantage of two units is you could position them to reduce shadows.

I'm not sure how much better the enhanced tripod would be but the 5000K daylight and $10 saving is a win for me

        • yeah 3000k is not ideal for a worklight in most application , though , the enhanced tripod looks to compact down further for easier storage, and the legs look more stable (probably not really here or there unless maybe you have a slightly windy environment) - Id prob still want to weight both down with some kind of weight.

    • The bigger one has a retractable tripod, the smaller one you have to unscrew the legs to put it away. Easy win for the bigger one IMO.

What's this one and what's the difference

    • Ahh, 10w and 1600lms??

      • Read the description

  • Is this a sale price or RRP?

  • Would this be a good option instead. Works on AC as well as battery. Plus dimmable
