Very nice fridge. But can’t afford it 🤦

  • any recommendation for H 170cm and W 90 cm fridge?

      I know this pain

Maybe it's just me… but I don't like having part of the fridge dedicated to water service… (plumbing and space lost), nor fixed-place ice making in some models. But so few models nowadays do that at decent size/brand/quality.

I agree. Takes up so much space, and you only get 1 glass of chilled water at a time, the rest turns room temp again.

      • that seems poor. my Samsung has about a 1.5 litre water resevoir for chilled water

    • I know LG offers otherwise identical models across their range with and without water/ice dispensers.

  • Can't seem to get it delivered in Melbourne? Postcode 3150

JB Hi-Fi has got it for a slightly higher price, could walk in to one of their stores and ask for a price match/JB deal.

at this price, just a 3-star energy rating? wow

    • That gimmicky glass window thing hypothetically means you open it less but I bet it doesn't insulate as well a thick solid door and all the other gizmos like adjusting temperature from phone or voice control wasting power. Who was asking for these features? It even wastes energy on your phone with an LG app that tells you about leaving the door open. I've changed the temperature settings on my fridge like once in 10 years when it was a little too cold, I don't need my fridge nagging me by phone and LG bloatware.

Can someone legitimately tell me why I need to look inside a window, as a feature on a fridge?
Like…it has a door. I don't need to remotely monitor the can of Coke in the door, without disturbing it.

I have a 5 years boy who will open the door, climb into the fridge and search for his snack, then decide which one he really wants to eat.

If you can look inside the fridge and know whats inside (lets say you want to go shopping), then it prevents you from opening the fridge door and letting out cool air, which then means you save on electricity with the fridge not having to recool air again. That being said, I think it is a massive gimmick as its only for one part of the fridge, and things like this start to fail and cause headaches. With Samsung support being known to be poor, I'd just give Samsung fridges a complete miss, with or without the gimmicks.

  • I have this fridge and it's great!
Except if you have kids who open the glass door with grubby fingers. Lots of space but to get the bottom vegetable tray out, you really need to fully open the fridge door.
The ice balls are cool too.
Paid $2750 from H.N 1 year ago including delivery and they took my old fridge away for free.
