Have one of these… I did a lot of research found them to be the best.
Very happy with my purchase… works good, the only recommendation is use different screws (and a cordless drill) - the instructions say use a screw driver, but boy did my blisters take weeks to heel… very tough material (I had the cheapest Bamboo top).I got a Drawer with mine… very nice addition.
Similar for me. Lots of research before choosing this. Got the draw. Fortunately have a cordless drill.

I will be open with my UpDownDesk experience, The table tops could do with better packaging out of the factory, at least for the Melamine type tops, Mine arrived with multiple corners smashed, Which was covered by shipping warranty the replacement had additional packaging on it, but with only one corner issue this time.

Feels a little false advertising. Would prefer they mentioned the price of the cost of a desk and mention the money off.
Office works has one around $500, (give or take) along with kogan from memory.
Alternative is buy the stand online for $150 or so and buy a butcher block table top from Bunnings for $80 (and some screws for $15…?
obviously no warranty for a “complete sit stand table, but would work just the same”
First link I clicked on had the table top width as 75CM. You're not going to get that width for $80 at Bunnings. Let alone a 'butcher block'.
And you'd be doing well to find a dual motor frame for $150 too.
alibaba/aliexpress will get you one around 200ish AUD.
Quality? i do office joinery installation, i done installed hundreds of these electric desks from many aus company/ brand. I can tell you this, they all buy from these chinese suppliers you see on alibaba/aliexpress. There isnt much difference, except they just put their aus company logo on the box.
As for the cheap " butcher block" you can just hit up your local joinery/ carpenter and ask them you just want a custome top, sure its expensive than bunning but its still cheaper than whatever top they quote on this post, and you will support the local and all that.

All these are WAY OUT of my budget/price range. As mentioned above, can buy a stand and top a lot cheaper separately. Some look nice though.

There are so many options out there that I have been a bit paralysed with my research.
Updown Desks
- Australian company and seem to have good customer service.
-Good quality hardwood tops but frequent issues with poor QC (although company fixes the issue)
-no pre drilled holes on Harwood top so you have to drill it yourself
-cable management options are averageSecret Lab Magnus Pro
-The best cable management by FAR
-well built with ingenious magnetic surface and accessories
-Same price as the better looking hardwood tables but the Secret Lab looks very "teenage RGB gamer"
-Singapore based so customer service may not be as good

for the electric desk, they are pretty nice to have. At this price? nah, you can buy directly from chinese suppliers from alibaba and aliexpress at 1/3 of this post's price
