Still waiting for the free coffee from them to arrive. Guess it's not coming

    • Was it a free after you pay kind of deal?

      • Nah they had a free sample

    • Mine arrived just fine a week or two ago.

      • Hmm maybe I was too late to it

    • I received exactly this one and it tastes great

    • Yeah i have the same hopes lol

    • Nothing special mate - not sure what they sent me but there was a weird chemical smell apon opening the bag (Downtown). They must be pretty old as the grind is dialled down almost as fine as i can and is still over extraced (30s = at least 56g not recommended 38g).

I'd stick with Lime Blue, much nicer.

  • it says $60?
Is there a coupon somewhere that needs to be entered?

    • Discount applied in the basket.

      • hm, still showing $60 all through to checkout

Be prepared to wait a few weeks for your order…

    • +2

My last one took about a week

    • +1

Got mine within a week as well.

    • Mine was 8 business days I think, just got it on a Friday otherwise it would have been two calendar weeks. Wasn't impressed, these guys delivered fairly promptly in the past

    • never had that experience but I'm based in Melbourne. They recently changed shipping method I noticed, and now the pick/send/deliver process is super quick, im getting coffee today that was shipped yesterday

      • I'm in Melbourne. Last 2 orders about 2 wks. Had to ask them where the hell it was.

Just finished one bag. not bad!

Got one in the last deal and took about a week to arrive. Only gripe compared to lime blue and arjo is the Inglewood bag doesn't appear to be resealable.

    • Yeah, at least the 1kg bag is not. I have a few spare empty 500 gr bags from them which i use to transfer my coffee to when buying a 1kg bag

    • The 500g bag is

  • I'm seeing full price. 60$ per kg

  • Just got into home baristaing so been using Aldi beans (which are fine) but is there an intermediate point between Aldi and $30/kg (when on special) beans?

    • ALDI medium dark roast are great, wouldn't bother spending more to be honest. Or at least buy something local where you can pick up and not wait ages for a 1kg bag that is not resealable.

    • To be honest $30/kg is pretty cheap, I've not tried anything in between aldi and these beans but i rate them above aldi for sure. The aldi med-dark were OK, but probably lacking that last bit of richness, missing those choclately syrupy notes that you get with inglewood an other top tier roasters

      • It's fine imo, and get the good stuff every few times I reckon. I used to get Bellissimo, that was good stuff. $30/kg is probably $50/kg now.

    • Grinders have just released a bag of beans called Cremello, grabbed them on special and must say they were pretty nice for a supermarket bean.

    • Not really. Aldi is great value for money. These speciality beans cost twice the price but aren't twice as good. For me, it's worth the money as I value the extra depth of flavour you get with these.

My go to beans is this blend and Aldi medium dark. These are much better beans but the Aldi ones are very good (don’t bother with anything in the middle, especially if it comes from a supermarket)

Bought 2kg last deal, and I got the free 500g bag as well, not really excited about the quality, I find lime superior and airj just below

    • What do you recommend for lime

    • +2

Interesting because I have the opposite. Was not a fan of lime blue at all (I had the Brazilian SO some time ago and Brazilian and Colombian SO are generally my favourites because they can usually pair with milk)

      • Brazil has a more subtle flavour profile then traditional Aus cafe coffee which Inglewood is more similar to. Really just comes down to what you prefer.

  • I only drinks espresso shots or ristretto, CM are pretty good very intensive flavour, must give it a try,
Ethiopia and Brazil good, it’s nice how they rotate bean so you can always taste something different

My delayed shipping from the last deal shipped yesterday so 1kg incoming by tomorrow. Could use delayed shipping again on this deal =P

  • Still going through a bag of this. It’s ok, a little weak for me but nice flavour. Still prefer Sunset Blvd out of all the brands I’ve tried. Still a few brands I want to try but hasn’t come up on sale and $60/kg is a bit much for me, even if fantastic.

  • Hi I found espresso grind from my last order too fine for my sunbeam machine, it almost gets clogged & haven't had this issue with other brands.

Can you please advise what would be a coarser grind to try this time?

Bought 2.5kg from these guys instead :D

    • Yeah, I like how they do have delay shipping, so you can plan your self among the deals!!

      • Pretty cool, to try and balance freshness and using up current beans. Apparently they freeze well anyway but yeah don't need them straight away but the deal ends in 3 days.

  • @inglewoodcoffee - I've got a 1kg bag and a bit still to go.
if I bought this now for click and collect - can I come pick it up at the start of next month?

    • Don't fret. Buy and freeze. It works out well.

      • -1

I want fresh freshness plus I don't have freezer space anyways

        • +1

No worries. But your 'fresh freshness plus' may end up costing $30/kg more than my 'just-out-of-the-freezer fresh freshness plus'.

  • Ordered. Next day delivery, which is awesome. but I'm in Melbourne also.

Unfortunately the payment screen stuffed up as my PayPal was processing so I was charged twice (two separate $30 charges) even though only one order was recorded. I've contacted them and waiting for a reply. The joys of online purchases, browsers and gremlins.

Can't wait to have a taste
