Amazon Italy thankfully aren't following their german counterparts exorbitant shipping charges yet. The cheapest I've seen these in Australia is about $850. From the pics it seems it has a detachable power cable so no adapters required.

I still like this one best… ends up about 600 shipped! (after they take tax off) - its about 11-12 hundred here!

    Yamaha RX-V773
    http://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B007Q05AXY/ref=oh_details_o0…

    mine should be here tomorrow…

although this post is kinda a dupe of this post:
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/78228
(amazon it amps) part of the same sale…

ohh only other thing is it looks like a 2 prong power point… kettle are three point, don't know if it still fits (just missing the grounding) or if it has a special plug with grounding on the edge - or if the two prongs are in different places making a standard plug not fit it…

muy money is on the Yamaha for about the same price though…dual HDMI out!

    • WOW! That's a fantastic price for the Yamaha. I'd be more willing to trust Yamaha not to break down either. SOLD.

    • Thanks wisc. I was looking at the 673 from here, but to get the 773 cheaper than I could get the 673 locally was way too good a bargain to pass up.

Thank you for pointing out the Yamaha V773 :) … Just bought one this morning.

I had a look at this particular AV receiver a few weeks ago and the shipping to AU was about 95 euro as the shipping weight was 12kg. When I purchased it this morning the shipping was only 35 euro as I think they made a mistake entering the shipping weight as "2kg"….

So if you want to buy this you better be hurry as you never know when they're going to rectify the "2kg" shipping weight back to its original 12kg….

  • Is the Yamaha RX-V773 240V?

I am guessing warranty is non-existent here in Australia?

    • More of a question of is this one in particular 240V,(as the model will come in both 110 and 240) as this one ships from Italy it should be, Italy is also 240…(if they didn't its would be like ordering something from an Aldi Australia and them sending you a 110V version)

the plug will be different though, nothing that a converter wont fix…(should be no more than a few bux - source it from eBay)

if anything goes wrong, you'll most likely have to ship it back to Italy… given they are going here for 1200 bux, and if you get it for 600 landed… even if you do have to ship it back it shouldn't cost more than 100 bux- you'll still be around 500 bux ahead! so im my books very much worth it.

and thats if amazon wont help you out… amazon warranty has been pretty decent in the past.

although that said, @half the price they go for here, you could buy another one and still be no worse off than if you'd bought it locally.

Strange.. I bought this about 3 hours ago (the 'titan' colour version - Yamaha RX-V773 AV Receiver, color titan), which was only 10 EURO more at the time (paid 505.93 EUR shipped to AUS) than the black one provided in the link, now its changed to 100 EUR more, the black version is now 555 EUR. Move it or lose it!!!

If something did go wrong with this within the warranty period, you'd simply get it fixed locally, it'd be cheaper anyway. Often components for these (the type that fail) aren't expensive anyway. If you were going to risk it with a brand, you'd go Yamaha.

    • still need to take tax of the 555 EUR, its always been that price… once you take tax off it comes down substantially.

Damnit that was the other thing i forgot to mention, just pay to get it fixed locally… will still end up cheaper!

      • Ah OK, thanks for correcting me on that. Price of the titan color definitely has gone up though in the last few hours.

Thanks again wisc for posting this deal… an absolute cracker!

yeah i rekon! pretty happy with my purchase too, checking UPS tracking every few hours to see where its at LOL…cant wait for it to arrive…i probably shouldn't have bought it as its just another toy for the house(my current zensonic gets by but no HDMI)… anyways couldn't resist at that price… been looking for a dual HDMI output amp for quote a while now.

might have jumped up cause you bought one of the last few in stock from amazon…(once amazon has none left it stock it defaults to the next cheapest seller who does have them in stock)

Venduto e spedito da FACAL POINT.=And sold by Facal POINT.

so thats a different seller… which would explain the sudden jump.

FACAL also sell the black for EUR 652,00 (almost 100 more as well)

wanted to do a separate post for the v733 one as well, but it would be a dupe as its mentioned in the other one.

  • Bought the yamaha v773 - thanks for posting the original deal and everyone for the comments. Couldn't resist at that price :):)

Forgot to ask - will it still play my music in English or only Italian?? :P

  • Hi guys an update after receiving it: …ended up being 626.77 inc Bank currency fees. (the Yamaha)

played with the amp all weekend and all i can say is OMG, now that i have everything set up its so cool.

with the PS3, the AMP and the LG TV, everything is so easy to use…it all just works, communicates to each other.
ARC and CEC can be enabled now that i have HDMI that supports it, i use the TV remote, turn the TV on, the amp turns on as well, switch to PS input on the TV the PS3 switches on(automatically), the Amp also switches to HDMI1 automatically.. then when i switch back to the TV the AMP automatically switches back to ARC… amp volume is controlled by the TV volume, I turn the TV off, the AMP, the TV and the PS3 all turn off…nice and neat.

gotta say pretty impressed with it all… man got stuck for hours on the ARC.. not only do you have to turn ARC on you also have to enable simplink on the LG TVs,(the manual says Simplink is supposed to connect other LG devices only - however its just CEC.) almost gave up and used optical.

    • My amp just arrived today. 2 business days after ordering, can't ask for more than that for delivery. Not sure if I'll get a chance to try it out before the weekend. I bought the silver model (Titan?) and ended up paying just under $625 all up. Black would have saved me $20, but silver goes better with everything else I've already got.

      • MAN, thats pretty quick, guess your lucky you had the weekend thouhgh, i put a preorder in, when they had no stock… was scared the price would go back up before they got more in… still cant believe how cheap the amp was… tempted to do a broden…

      • My titan RX-V773 still not shipped yet.. :-(

      • Hey Obs, when did you place the order?

  • Mine got attempted delivery today but I wasn't home so will go and pick it up tomorrow.

$608.89 on 28 degrees card all up.

Need to decide if this is the new living room amp or the setup for the new deck.

    • Both its multi zone ;)
