Spotted these in the outlet section. Works out pretty cheap with prime delivery as their website is slightly cheaper but charges $10 for delivery.

These are on the smaller side, so if you are after a large knock box look elsewhere. Dimensions as per this harvey norman listing are 11cm x 10cm.

Brown and blue only at this price.

The knock bar is also detachable and easy to clean. Just take it off and rinse it under water.

  • Nice for the occasional coffee drinker and good price. I had exactly this one before and experienced that coffee went everywhere and not just in the box using this size. I changed to a bigger square one, less mess. I make about 10 coffees per day when not having visitors.

    • How many coffees?
      How many shots?

These are too small and not sturdy and as a result, pretty useless. Better to invest in the full sized metal with rubber base and bar. Here's the AliExpress version:

Amazon probably have a version of it.

I like the Breville knock box (the bigger size version). The part you knock on can be removed and cleaned detached from the box both through dishwasher. No need to unscrew like the one you linked to

But yes, better than one in deal, the bigger the knock box the better I agree

      • I had the breville one. It is simply too big and I sold it.

    • Have the mhw-3bomber one and it’s a good halfway between your stainless steel one and the OP to be honest. Rubber base, metal stem, high quality plastic and rubber and available in multiple colours for ~$30 on Aliexpress.

thks, only make 1-2 coffees per day so handy size, bought the brown.

    • For that occasion probably the right thing. I got sick of the mess doing a lot of coffees. The round shapes bit at the front is not really helpful knocking and spilling. I tried lots of angles, but it always ended up messy.

      • Your ‘puck’ should stay in one piece and land safely in this basket

I literally just bought this to replace my current take-away container and chopstick system before setting this post. Glad to know it's a decent price.

  • I made the mistake of getting something similar in size and design to this (Avanti) and the ground flies everywhere. After a few months the rubber starts to disintegrate too.

I highly recommend something bigger made from stainless steel.

    • rubber disintegration is an issue with most knock boxes , used to have one and luckily the rod fitted inside piece of garden hose , now sure if it was design or luck.

  • I make a couple of coffees a day and have no issue knocking out into my bin. Most of the time I dont even need to physically knock it, just a downward flick will release the puck.

  • Am I the only one using the bin as a knock box?

  • if anyone knows an easy way to get the grounds out of the nespresso pods? Right now I'm cutting it with a knife and it's quite tedious when you have 50 pods to go through every few weeks.

I dont know why so many use giant knockboxes. I have a large one that i never use. I always use my grindenstein, which is similad sized to this.

I do 2 double shots a day and empty my grounds container every 3 days. Larger containers end up being full of mould, which is why I like to stick to my grindenstein.
