    • They are the same people.

      • Lovely, thanks for letting me know!

Please purchase from them directly and save them the unnecessary eBay fees!

or use eBay to get better consumer protections

  • Hi, new, just want to confirm that they include the power supply and extension cable, also are they in original packaging or loose?

    • Just got mine, unopened box. includes everything. they sound AMAZING, got another pair for when if these die. only a few left selling fast.

      • Wow, that was quick shipping. Thanks for the info, all gone now.

  • Is it possible to easily connect these up to a PC? The input section of the spec doesn't give much away and I can't tell from the image showing the back? Thanks.

Edit: I think I solved my own question, I believe you can use one of those red/white rca cables from the PC headphone port.

    • +1

Correct. And then you can use the headphone port on the speakers to mute speakers and listen on headphones without needing to change at the PC. Neat trick.

    prob. double in aud

these will absolutely clown most PC speakers at even double the price

bass doesnt seem great but hey 5" drivers is what it is

sooo many better options for not much more

    • +8

      like what?

    • Please don't say audioengine/edifier

  • +1

I too would like to know. I believe these were released in or before 2009, but from my understanding audio technology holds up well over many years. These seem to be reviewed as good value @$200 USD around 2010 so at ~65USD now I would assume they remain very good value for money.

    • +1

      good lord these are old

Date First Available April 13, 2004

be that as it may what else can you get for $100… or even $200 that has similiar or better performance?

    • I had a pair of JBL control 5 from same era these came out and they were brilliant speakers. These will be well worth the money.

  • $94 with ebay plus & express postage, bought a pair to try with laptop,
Will update with how quick postage is @Calmago ;)

    • +1

Hmmm I looked at the listing on eBay and couldn't find a code. There must be a targeted on available.

They will be on the Australia Post trucks tomorrow :)

      • Very quick shipping OP, auspost says coming tomorrow from interstate :) cheers

        • Got mine today, thanks they're awesome!!

    • Late to the party but is the ebay listing still live? I searched but could not find one for that price.

EDIT: NVM, found it - too late anyway :-(

  • +2

    • $17. Bargain for decent mounts, plus the PSU holder too.

  • Also a $10 off for first purchase?
Not sure if there is a minimum spend.

    • Yep, pretty sure welcome10 will work if not used or subscribed before.

  • +1

Solid deal. Got a pair to replace my broken Mackies.

  • is it suitable for 50% gaming and 50% office use purposes?

    • +2

      Only 73% and 27% unfortunately.

These punchy little monitors are (even though made in ye olde` times) are surprising beasts. I have the wireless version and still use them to this day for light music profunication.
    At this price highly recommended.
I grabbed some btw with mounts for the $17 dollarydoobs.
So both for $106.00 delivered. Nice
Thanks OP. A nice speaker that I did not expect to be able to get again new ! 👍

  • Just bought two pairs as part of my new home fitout.
Would I be over-expecting if I expected these to be similar to the JBL LSR305s?

    • Yeah I think so. On paper at least.

      35w vs 82w,
100hz vs 49hz low frequency response

eBay order received today via AP Express Service (BNE to SYD).
    Solid

  • OOS!!!

  • Mine arrived today. Didn't have an Australian lead though so I'll need to get one of those.

    • +1

same, i have about 6 of these leads so wasn't a problem.

Found one in the shed so I'm sorted.

Might pop off the grill and do something about that white LED. But otherwise, loving them so far.

        • Piece of black tape is covering it on the grill face for me atm.

Also had the US plug instead of Aus. Had a spare though, so not too much of a problem.

Great speakers though. Nice and clear output. 5 inch drivers for $99 is a pretty amazing bargain.

    • for anyone else reading this and wondering, the power supply takes a figure 8 cable, so as long as you have an australian figure 8 you're sorted.

  • damn these are even better than I thought they'd be. if these ever go on sale again and anyone is after some pc speakers, or even a 2.0 setup for a small room, I can't really see how you could do better than these for even double the price.

    • +1

I just set mine up for the PC and reckon they’re a bit disappointing at the high end, even with HF switch at +2. Just a bit muddy compared to what they’re replacing (Realistic minimus).

Overall very happy though and agree hard to beat at this price, or double.

Definitely loud enough for PC use and close monitoring but not much more.

      • +2

after years of going to gigs I've probably lost enough of my top end hearing that I don't even notice…

      • I was looking at reviews on these before purchasing, lots of people saying they need a good 48hrs on loud to be broken in then they'll sound how they should..

        • Good to know. Cheers.

  • Got mine today. The HF switch on back is stuck solid. Totally unable to shift it.
Not a deal breaker but annoying.
They also gave me and audible and shocking zap when I touched the main plate.
    I honestly don't give them long ☹️
    Bugger
