Damn wish I had an iPhone 15 to take advantage of this.

  • Can charge the switch 0.8 times with 5000mah capacity?! The switch is only 3570mAh 😂
So its either highly inefficient at charging or the battery capacity is a flat out lie.

Most small low voltage DC-DC converters are only somewhere between 75-87% efficient. 87% is the efficiency limit for standard Silicon power transistors, Gallium Nitride can reach 95% efficiency but you won't find it in small gadgets yet.

If this power bank is 75% efficient and the Switch internal circuitry is 75% efficient, 5,000x0.75x0.75=2,812 which is close to 0.8x3,570=2,856. Both probably have better than 75% DC-DC efficiency but stuff like cell protection circuitry, charge progress LED indicators etc waste a bit of power.

If both power bank and Switch operated at absolute peak efficiency of 87%, 5,000x0.87x0.87=3,785 which is slightly more than a single Switch charge.

0.8 times charge seems pretty reasonable from a budget power bank.

Bro, you are very professional. I bought it and never thought about anything like this. I bought it simply because it was cheap and I happened to need a portable power bank.
