  • What are you using this for?

    • I used them to share files at uni/work out of. Also put movies on the TV or whatever. Not a huge usecase for a lot of people anymore

yah……. and it's just 64gb so people have got a lot of these lying around anyway.

      Install Windows, linux.

I put Ventoy on mine. Then copied as many ISOs into the usb drive as it could take in iso, img, wim or vhd formats. I got windows installers, various linux distros, medicat/other recovery images.

By mentioning more than 1 OS, I thought it would be obvious Ventoy or equivalent is being used.

I do use a faster USB flash disk, these Sandisk Ultra are no longer that fast in today's standard.

          • @netsurfer: Samsung BAR Flash USB 3.1 drive good for Ventoy?

            • +1

@goober: Samsung Bar Plus is okay. Read speed for 128GB or higher is close to USB 3.0 limit, write speed obviously isn't but still better than most.

Depends on budget and how often you intend to use these. If only using them to install OSes from time to time then low cost ones are okay.
