I bought 2 on May for $34.99 to charge my Mac book at its max charging rate. Not much to say, they worked as advertised

sorry you got ripped off, this is an amazing deal now, you should get 1 more.

      • +3

Yeah man, I couldve saved $.99 to upgrade my desk setup ;(

        • +4

it's ok, don't be in such a rush next time to get huge savings :)

Single port is quite limiting. You can get Anker 65W dual USB-C and single USB-A for about $55

I looked at this just then and thought, oh yeah, but then I realised I bought it last year for my tabs8, but returned it as it wasn't going to be really charging any faster than the 25w PPS fast charger and fast cable I bought

Good form-factor as compared to the 67W Apple Charger - great price as well. Have my upvote, OP.

  • +1

Oh, for dog's sake, not another charging standard!

First we had QC. Then we had PD. Then PPS. now PIQ.

How on earth do you know if the device you have works with any given charger?

    • +1

They can't even get a proper standard for USB-C…

    • +2

PIQ is just branding by Anker - not a standard in itself.

Here's a page that explains it:
      https://support.anker.com/s/article/What-s-the-main-differen…

Personally, I find USB-C charging to be great other than a few cursed devices. I have a 140w charger which will charge pretty much every thing I own - from my earbuds to my laptop. I can also connect my laptop to a phone charger if there is an emergency.

      • Thanks, that page is useful.

It would be more useful, and get them more sales, if instead of Anker saying their device supported PIQ 3.0, implying its another new standard, they said it supported both QC 3.0 and PD 3.0. I knew that was possible, but was having trouble finding anything mains powered that said it did that. Oddly enough its easy to find car chargers that do.

      • USB-c140w charger? I'm looking for something less bulky than my 130w laptop charger for travel.

Does this HEYMIX product set itself on fire …. ?

    • Why do you ask?

  • is this overkill for an iPhone?

    • Yes, but if you have a MacBook or other laptop, you can charge it with this as well. Along with any other USB C devices like headphones or mice.

      • i barely use my MacBook now a days since my work uses windows, let me find something a little cheaper. thank you

  • Is ANKER better than HEYMIX?

    • -1

They are both manufactured in China and probably their factories are next to each other.

I will have to go with a no. Have you seen the ludicrous prices Anker is charging??? Heymix all the way!

      • +1

Probably becos Anker spent a lots on marketing..

        • +1

Without the sarcasm, I bought both Anker and Heymix chargers and Anker is obviously better.

Anker’s packaging is really official looking and feels better than Heymix’s packaging. Same goes for the feel of the charger itself.

Bought Anker several times and Heymix once, that one Heymix charger somehow “fried my devices”, could smell plastic burning from my power bank and it stopped working

In my opinion, the charger hierarchy for me is Anker/Apple (if using Apple devices) > (others like Baseus, Satechi, but they only sell their chargers on Amazon in America > Random brands/Heymix

    • Yes. Heymix rebrand chargers and there appears to be massive variation in quality.

Anker designs their own. In addition, they are reviewed and torn down with reasonable frequency so you have a fair idea of what you're getting.

The location of the factory and country of origin doesn't really have an impact on quality. There are too many factors at play - the quality of components, level of QA, design, etc - to make any statement based purely on the country of origin.

    • HEYMIX is a random no name Amazon brand that some users are reporting them ruining their appliances or starting fires.

ANKER is a US based company with a strong reputation for production quality products.

      • +1

ANKER is very much not US based, it's a chinese company.

        • -1

Sorry, they were founded in the US.

  • Has it expired or am I missing some coupon code? I can only see $59 here
