Please don't retweet bullshit. How can it be 65W if 45W is the max?

Is this a bargain for a 45W PD power supply? I don't think so. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/928480
Most of the multi-port devices have the same problem.
Better to get separate devices for high power, and a multi-port for low power 5V supply.

i dont like their tactic too but:
Charge 4 Devices Simultaneously: With two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports offering a total 65W of power.

      its the total…..

      • My apologies. It is really hard to figure out, but looks like it can actually do 30W +20W +15W on the A-ports.
So 65 W total it is ? 45W is only the max for 1 port?
Anker is a respectable brand, so I should not tarnish them with the sins of other Chinese sellers.
I've been burned a few times.

        • one c port maxes out at 45, the other at 20 (max rating is particular to each port)

        • Yes. Total is 65w. So the name of the product is 65w charger. Not from one port can do 65w.

Have 2 of these in the house have had no issues with them, don't need super-fast charging as i'm happy with slow and steady also much prefer this form factor and the fact it takes a standard IEC C7 cable rather than using some multi plug adaptor.

    • i really like them too, tho this price is more like a reasonable retail than bargain

      • When comparing with the other chargers that get posted regularly it does look like less of a deal, though i don't mind as anything i have from Anker has always worked and lasted.
But I do have an older Tronsmart UC5F charger which must be nearly ten years old, never gets switched off apart from when it's travelled a few times to Europe and still going strong, even my S25 doesn't complain about it.

I hate it when companies use misleading information like this.
    There should be consequences.
In fact Think I'm going to order one and send it straight back under misleading description so they lose money on postage, merchant & processing fees.

This new one from Ugreen is great value:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/UGREEN-5-Port-Desktop-Fast-Charger…

I believe it can only do 45W on a single USB-C port though.

The model that you referenced includes the plug. We are talking about the models with detacable AC power cable. Better for travelling etc.

    • Its a different form factor, a fair bit bigger with the port arrangement

    • that was recommended to me on the app.

couldn't understand the usefulness of the extra C ports. it can only do 45W then 5W, 5W, 5W, 5W with all ports in use. most USB-C devices fast charge at least 18W so 5W is almost useless. only does 20W out of the extra C ports with single port in use.

      even the 3 ports in use output doesn't make sense because it's 45W + 10W + 10W.

might as well just by a decent 3 port only charger ( I have the Anker Nano ii 65W) which is slightly cheaper and can do 65W single port.

Paid $30 last week on prime day deal with $10 from topcashback. Due to long cable can put it behind bed where power outlet is hard to reach.

Would it charge 2 laptops at the same time.

  • good on you OP for including the single port max in title.
