  This is actually not a bad direction for Lego City to take.

  I think something like a Lego Comic-Con/E3 Expo set (or a generic "video game/comic book convention" set) would have good appeal and could be interesting, especially if they could license a bunch of designs for various minifigs cosplaying videogame characters and associated branding from various developers/publishers (which they've already done for the Lego Overwatch theme).

  It might already be a potential Lego Ideas submission.
