AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU $669 Delivered @ AusPCMarket

210

Not the cheapest price ever, but decent. Retailer not taking part in Starfield promo, so go with one of the following retailers if you value the free game, but will need to pay a bit more.

AFTERSHOCK PC
BPC Tech
Centre Com
Computer Alliance
JW
MSY
PCByte
PLE Computers
Umart

Just wondering, does anyone know if the above retailers price match? If so, you could get CPU for $669 plus Starfield.

MIGHT be cheaper in next week's Afterpay sales, but this is still a really good price

    • I'm in this camp. Will likely sell Starfield to recoup some funds!

Gachi is love. Gachi is life. Keep well Mr. Herrington, you will always in our memories.

          We didn't deserve Aniki.

          Rest well, sweet prince.

    • Hoping for a 7700x deal with the sales

  • +2

I gave up and bought the 7700x for $484 with starfield. No advantge with the 7800x3d in 4k

    • Cheers - might do the same.

    • That's food for thought, I wasn't aware of this. First time building a PC in 25 years or something like that.

      • +1

Most of the increase is in 1080p where cpu plays a big part. Some increase in 1440p. By the time you hit 4k it's all gpu

      • I just started collecting parts for my first build as well. Care to share your build on pcpartpicker OP?

    • why not 7700? its cheaper?

    • Any point for 4k/60 gaming going with a 7700x over 7600? I'm getting an xtx7900

  • Was $646 in June at computeralliance when there was the 22% ebay sale, however I wasn't ready to buy then. Ended up buying a couple of weeks ago during their 17% off sale for $687 with the Starfield promo. Hoping to sell it and recoup some of the $$.

    • Ughh I'm in the same boat, wasn't committed. I would have jumped at $687 + Starfield right now.

  • +2

$3 less and it would be an evil deal

    • Maybe if they bundled that with Diablo IV.

      • +1

True, guess Nvidia really is the evil one

any good deals on ITX motherboard to suit this? Please and thank you!

    • +1

Not that I'm aware of, but I'm on the prowl. The 17% off ebay plus for CA just ended - MSI B650i was about $315. Will wait to see what's around the corner

      • +1

Thank you, I'll keep looking too!

      • +1

I'm keen on an MSI MPG B650 for mini ITX build, but they're all at REP except umart/MSY with $20 off, down to $339 But the country is out of stock, end of August availability

        • Was $306 for pick up at my local umart y/day, but I snoozed and it went OOS…. ugh not sure how much/if would go cheaper at BF/CM (if I can wait!)

Maybe this is a sign more price cuts coming?

    https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-ryzen-7-7800x3d-drops-to-381…

    • Do you think it might drop more before black friday?

    • +1

pretty sure this IS that price cut…

with the AUDUSD going the way its going, i dont know if we will get more disti-level cuts…

    • I clicked on the link and can't get $381 for 7800X3D from Newegg. The Amazon links seem duds too.

      • USD, not AUD if that's what you are confused about

Besides, I think the Newegg discount has ended. It was like $700 the other day. As for amazon.com, we Australians simply can't get some of their deals, as in if the website detects you are from Australia it will not show the listing

        • No, in USD, it wasn't $381. I've been looking over the last 3-4 days. There was a discount the other day but it was never $381.

      • It did drop on Newegg to around $680 aud, but price cut only lasted about a day.

    • In the US the 7800X3D had a brief discount down to $369 usd. I'm envious of Americans

      • I am not envious of Americans at all. The cons far outweigh the pros of living there lol

  • how agressive is the over clock? does it like to blow out like the previous gen? I remember having to turn the factory auto overclock to not go over 4ghz. if I didn't it would keep going to 5ghz and geting 80 or 90 degrees.

    • I dont think the new X3D range is supposed to be overclocked at all, unless they fixed the CPUs ""exploding"" recently.

      • A bios fix was rolled out months ago.

        • By limiting SoC voltage and restricting CPU overclocking?
