What Weird Answer Has ChatGPT Given You?

I am bored so I tried ChatGPT today for the first time. Pretty smart bot and played some simple riddle.

ChatGPT: Here is a riddle for you: The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?

Me: poop

ChatGPT: You got it right! The answer is "footsteps". The more footsteps you take, the more footprints you leave behind. Well done! If you have more riddles or questions, feel free to ask.

Since when poop is the same as footsteps.

Share your weird ChatGPT experience :).

It told me that there is no specific fish species known as "angorafish". Clearly wrong.

It will totally make up research papers. You can ask it a scientific question and make it give you the links. All the links are wrong or fake. :)

"I'm sorry, but I cannot assist you with any illegal or unethical activities. If you have any legal or legitimate questions, feel free to ask, and I'll be more than happy to help."

    • Try asking from a hypothetical point of view.

      • "I cannot provide assistance, advice, or information related to illegal activities, including bank robbery. If you have questions about legal matters or need advice on a different topic, feel free to ask, and I'll be happy to help."

Q: If I were to rob a bank, what will happen?

        lol

If you google for it, there is a script where you can use "hypnosis" and force ChatGPT back to an older version, which will bypass some of those restrictions. Profanity is the first level to bypass. I should note the earlier versions, like 6 months ago, before the restrictions were slower but more accurate/powerful. Now it keeps making convincing lies.

Eventually the protocol will get better, and the best ones will be proprietary. But even with a good open-source model, it doesn't really matter, what does matter is the inputs you train the AI in. Google has the most data/information out there by a long shot, followed by Facebook, then it's Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Reddit, Adobe, Match, Twitter, Uber, eBay, Snapchat, Oracle, DropBox, Wikipedia, Netflix, Spotify, etc etc.

Earlier this year I asked it about a V8 Supercars race held the previous day. It told me that Craig Lowndes won, followed closely by Jamie Whincup. I'd heard that its info is out of date and that proved it.

  • Last week I asked about Russia's invasion on Ukraine. It told me about how Russia invaded in Feb 2022.
I told it that it shouldn't have knowledge of events after September 2021.
It apologized and said it was wrong about the invasion and to ignore what it said.

I just asked it the same question and it told me it doesn't have any record of an invasion, as it only knows up to 2021.

Putin has also been taking his advice from ChatGP (Z).
Trump gets his advice from Vlad.

    • If ChatGPT started reliably giving correct lottery numbers I think society would fall apart.

      • +1

People are using ChatGP, ergo society has already fallen apart.
That's what that schlurm on the floor is.
You missed the memo. Ask ChatGP for a copy.

  • searching to see if my favourite high school teacher still runs one of the best faculties in my region to recommend to a friends kids and to the right of my web search results Bing AI automatically tells me she sexually abused a student when that was clearly all over the news as another teacher at the school, repeated searches thankfully fixed itself so i was probably the only person to get that result but it's clearly not careful about things like that

  • I asked it for actors who have first or last names the same as US Presidents, such as Thomas Holland or Harrison Ford. It said "Ronald Reagan".

    • +2

To be fair Ronald Reagan was an actor before he became president.

      • +1

To be fair, Ronald Reagan was also an actor after he became president. You could also say that the better any politician is at acting, the more successful they are likely to be.

Who needs actors when you have Trump?
Trump is the hand, and his enablers ( more than half of America) are his metaphorical (profanity) > (here kitty)

          • +1

@Protractor: Trump is also a film actor, he at least appeared in Home Alone 2, as himself. Plus he hosted that Apprentice gameshow. He is an actor by any definition.
