This wine was meant to go to Canada.

    What happened ???

We don't know and we don't really care about it. What we care about is that it's a great wine and we have it at great price.
      Cheers

      • Sp if you don't know…..its possible that the canadians didnt like the taste?

        • We don't think so because the wine is great. As stated above.

          • @Skye Cellars: They still could have thought it was bad even if you disagree.

I do wonder why they rejected it

            • @Tleyx: It's always an option.
I am pretty sure it was about price and freight though.
But I don't know for sure.
              Cheers

@Skye Cellars: Hi @Tleyx, i hope our friends at @Skye Cellars don't mind me hopping in with a producers perspective and as a producer who deals a lot with Canada. It's often about velocity of sales, simply that the sales didn't pull through as quickly as the Canadian Liquor Boards had hoped. It's a common occurance and certainly no reflection on the wines themselves.

McLaren Vale Shiraz for around $10ish per bottles. Happy days :-)

Chalk Hill are a terrific producer and, indeed, we buy fruit from them for one of our own wines.

                • @RD ADL: Yeah it seems risky to me, you would think they know.how much it costs to shop before they order

                  • @Tleyx: The slings and arrows of international trade - these things just happen occasionally for a variety of reasons :-)

  • Thanks for sharing - picked up the Wits End Lunar Shiraz (what a cool name) and the Tawny Cleanskin :-)

    • Thank you
