Worked for me, though I hadn't ordered anything from here for ages

  • good find OP. shame iconic (or anyone, thanks twiggy) don't seem to carry much of rm's macquarie range anymore. :(

Trimly shoe and boot trees are also 20% off until the end of 23 Aug with code:

    SHOETREESAT20

    • Thanks! Just ordered a few shoe trees.

Note also that R.M.Williams now sell their own boot trees.
Spotted them in store the other day. They look nice, but I'll stick with Muji shoe trees, which fit the boots nicely as well and are only $40 for a pair: 23–25 cm and 25–28 cm.

      • I have both MUJI and Trimly. MUJI is nice but unfortunately for my UK9 (EU 43) size their 25-28 is a bit loose and that’s the largest size they have whereas Trimly’s size 43 fits my shoes snugly, which is what I prefer. If I had smaller feet, I would stick with MUJI considering their price.

        • Interesting, I also have size 9H R.M. boots and have found the 25–28 cm Muji trees are a good fit. They are also the spring loaded split-toe type, so will fit a wide range of shoes and boots. Whereas the Trimly ones are a solid toe and won't conform to other boots/shoes. I've used the Muji ones in sneakers, etc. and they work well for me.

    • Anecdotal. At best.

  • Can anyone share how these shoes fit compared to standard runners. I'm a size 12US standard Asics/brooks , can anyone offer insight how your boots compare fit wise? Shoe charts suggest I should go down from us12 to au11.

Yes Im a US12 in Nike, Adidas, everything. I have AU11s in RMs. Other thing to be sure of is the width.

    • +1

I'm a size down too but definitely recommend going into an RM store to be sized up. It's a big investment

People generally get confused when it comes to sizing.

Australia uses British system for shoe sizing and UK sizing is generally 1 below US for e.g. UK 9 = US10 so when people they sized down from US10 to AU/UK9 that isn't right as they are both the same.

Generally sneakers have additional padding whereas dress shoes don't and that why people need a size bigger for sneakers e.g. I wear US11 in Nike but AU/UK 9G for RMs (which is US10).

Japanese are better with sizing as they just use CMs instead.

Anyways with RMs it's best to try in store because they have different widths (F = Narrow, G = Normal, H = Wide and X = Extra wide).

Definitely do this - my RM sizing is different to any other boots/shoes I own.

        • Are the extra wide (X) available anywhere but from RM Williams direct? Tried sizes at an outlet store yesterday and they were the best fit but unless I’m confused none of the retailers seem to sell them? Any advice

  • Why is 9H black permanently OOS ? :(

    • Iconic don't do H sizings do they?

Edit: Found - just under different link. Nearly all sizes OOS.

  • If I grab say a 10g will rm let me swap to a 10f?

  • What’s the benefit of getting through iconic rather than David jones?

    • gift cards, cashback, etc. plus they heyiconic75 code for new accounts. not sure if DJs do free delivery but iconic do

    • Was lucky enough to get these at 30% off. The iconic has an extremely easy returns process from what I've found, however, there was one pair that i got from the iconic (my sizing was wrong) that were clearly used. I would buy through them again though

  • Thanks legends, got myself a pair

  • Thanks for sharing, not so much stock for men

  • Does anyone have any info on what the craftsman’s sell for at R.M. Outlet stores?

    • +1

$450 last time I went and they had a hole punched in the leather to indicate it's a second.

      • Thanks. Interesting about the hole…
