anyone tried this and there vodka that can vouch?

    • +1

Vodka yep a great drop. I use their American one to mix and the other one on the rocks.

    • +1

Pretty mediocre and watery as a neat pour but given the price holds up pretty well against the bottom shelf alternatives esp if you plan on mixing anyway.

Isn’t it the Costco brand for all their home brand products?

    • is that why there brisket tastes like 98?

Ethanol is the alcohol we drink and fuel our cars with.
Just more damning evidence that drinking alcohol is (profanity) stupid.

This pairs perfectly with the 40 shot glasses deal … https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/794751

40 x 30ml = 1.2 litres with a spare 50ml for spillage or a cheeky extra shot for the barman!

I think it's a very good blended whisky. Very smooth, not very smoky, sweet and good length.

    Great buy at this price.

      sweet and good length

      Pls stay on topic

      • +3

She says the length doesn't matter, it's how you use it

        • She tells me something different

  • Anyone know the price in store?

    • Following for in store price

      • 120 instore.

    • Usually $10 less if it's anything like past deals

    • I just went there (like 1 hour ago) and it was $130 on the shelf.

Anyone know if Costco sell legit alcohol?

  • So Kirkland is to Costco as Anko is to Kmart? Jack of all trades I suppose lol

    • +2

Yes, Kirkland has always been their home brand. Anko came out of Kmart having products called "… & Co." emphasising their relationship with suppliers I guess, and this became the brand Anko.

      • +1

Wow can’t believe I never made the connection between & Co and anko

  • I’m currently in Mexico and this was like $50!

Which is surprising because everything else at Costco was more expensive than Australia, guessing due to poor currency exchange and lower alcohol tax.

    • +1

It's the alcohol tax, these are so cheap in the US too.

      • -1

Yep, we get raped every which way with alcohol tax here.
It's also why a lot of whiskies are watered down for our market. The higher the alcohol percentage, the higher the tax.

    • 50 USD ~ 79 AUD

      • +1

US$35 in the US, so AU$54.88

  • Is this available in SA (supermarkets can't sell alcohol here) or is there some sort of loophole?

    • No. Not available

  • Can anyone compare this to say Johnnie Black? Bells? Aldi's Highland Black?…….Drinking neat, better or worse?? thanks
