What Snacks Do You Get at Costco?

I’ve heard that the snacks (frozen or otherwise) at Costco are really good and have heard good things about the takoyaki, Chinese scallion pancakes and the Mac and cheese balls.

We may be getting a membership for the cheap petrol (among other things) and we’re wondering what some of the OzB’s community favourite Costco snacks are. Fire away!

Have a great Saturday 🌞

  • Chocolate mousse by the Yalla brand. Not Costco exclusive but comes in an 800g tub.

      That's a good morning snack.

  • Edameme is good. Almost all of their baked goods are pretty good. While not always cheap, quite a few of their international offerings of cookies/biscuits or whatever are nice. I find them a little bit more interesting that the usual fare you get at Colesworth. While we haven't gotten any for ages, some of their dried fruit is nice too. May not be the cheapest but we found them to be nicer than some other brands we've tried.

Like loona said above, you can get some great deals in the refridgerated section. You just need to be able to either get through it quickly or be able to freeze it.

    • That flavour in particular? What makes them good out of curiosity?

they are extra crunchy. salt flavour only too

    • Get them with the 3pack salsa.

  • Sign up and you always have 12 months to refund the membership if it's not for you

Their chocolate coated pretzel is to die for, don't remember the brand. Their 2kg of pub mix also addictive. Large Kanzii apples also nice. I like to have them as slices to watch something.

  • Chocolate coated freeze dried strawberries.

Kirkland salted chips. As mentioned by crispy above.

    Pork Gyoza (frozen)

    Karaage Chicken (frozen)

    Polish Brats

  • Definitely the shallot/scallion pancakes and buffalo chicken wings, both in the freezer section. We used to LOVE their butter chicken pastizzis and polenta chips, but they got rid of them years ago. We miss them.

  • I didn't like the takoyakis, I found them way too gingery tasting

brownie and caramel slices from bakery section, I freeze half and then have 1 a day, so good and not very sweet at all.

New cinnamon scrolls from the bakery, not the best I've ever had but pretty good!

choc chip cookies from the bakery, not as cheap as Colesworth but it has massive amounts of chocolate. I'm clearly a fan of their bakery 😂

Not sure if snack, but the prawn wanton noodles from the freezer is great too.

    Smores clusters

The Yalla choc mousse/tapioca pudding, pretty nice but I'd only get them when they are on rebate

The cheese section is great. Quite a few from overseas.

We get the Godiva chocolates. They come individually wrapped which means they stay fresh for longer once the packet is opened. If we have people over, and nobody wants a dessert, we have these with some Muscat.

Have a good look at the cracker aisle, there are some interesting options.

Not so much a snack but the Costco maple syrup is a must buy for us. We use it for pancakes and porridge.

  • They had a 1.2kg cookie bag that’s from NZ, individually wrapped too. Kids love that to take to school, not to sweet as well. Will continue to buy that if they keep it on the shelves.
