Business Pants - Slim Stretch and Tailored Length

Moving jobs in a few weeks. Going from a company that has a more casual attire (jeans, polo, sneakers) to one that expects business attire. So looks like im on the market for some new clothes.

Already have plenty of shirts, but need some chinos and suit/business trousers. Bought a couple from uniqlo online because they were slim stretch and did custom lengths… But they are more like regular fit than slim.

Any recomendations on other well priced options for chinos and business pants that come in slim fit with stretch material, and offer a variety of lengths (or custom)?

    • Thanks. However my legs are too thick for skinny fit.

      • So slim and skinny are different? TIL.

Their legs taper the opposite way as other ppl. Imagine a carrot fat end down.

Lurk in a mall or shopping centre. Spot the dacks you like. Swoop on the wearer and ask where they got 'em.

Try MJ Bale, Rodd and Gunn, and Boss.

Ofc itll depend on your budget, style and taste.

    • They all seem a bit pricey for what I am looking for

    Uniqlo offer free tailoring

    • They do, and that's part of why I went with them originally. Unfortunately their fit in the legs is over-generous.

      • Just hit the gym and make everyday leg day

        • That's the thing! I have thicker legs from just that 😂

I've even another forum thread looking for clothes for more built dudes!

  • Actually, any review on Charles Tyrwitt pants?
Seems they have a minor sale on, and come in a few length options

    For example :

    • $89 for cotton pants
MJ Bale have several $96.75 and they're wool

$59 for the ones posted, and they come at varied lengths and fits. Mj Bale seemed to be one size and $100-300 per pants.

  • Well priced is relative but I have found the commission pants range (now called the abc range) at Lululemon are some of the comfiest stretch chino style pants I have ever worn. They look the part too, not being able to tell they are made of stretch material. They’ll set you back about $130 a pair but they are of great quality and comfort so I’ve had no problem justifying the expense.
Just be aware they all come in long leg off the rack and Lululemon take them up for you once purchased.
Also, don’t use fabric softener when washing it it will wreck the elasticity

They're great for long-haul flights too.

    • Never would have thought of them for either menswear or business pants! I'll give them a look

    • I really like the ABC pants, I had no idea Lululemon offered hemming, thanks for sharing.

  • Lululemon and underarmor golf pants.

The underarmor look like chinos and are stretch. I use them all the time when I need to be "dressed" for more corporate venues.

  • Try next.com.au I buy all my business trousers from them, good price and the quality is decent. I also don't skip leg day and find their fit to be very good. The returns aren't free though unfortunately so can't try before you buy.

    • I'll check them out
