Is This Root Canal Dental Quote Alright?

Hi,
Looking for root canal treatment for wifey at Hurstville NSW and receive quotes ranged from $1100-$1500
Then i got a quote for $700 to be done in one visit. This one has the tooth X-ray photo(as i emailed him) where as others is just from phone calls.

As much as i wanted it to be true, i like to know what do you think? Any insight helps! Thanks.

X-ray photo for those who interested:

Update: i dont have any private health fund. We do find it strange to have 1 visit only. In the end Wifey decided to go with others after listened to her dental nurse friend about higher chance of failure within 1 visit . I might give it a shot if it is me…

I visited my dentist who did the root canal treatment, took the 3D images and I went back 2 hours later and had a crown fitted/

    • i'm guessing it depends on whether the root is infected or not

    • Yes, have had 2-3 done over the years.

could be a dentist preferred by your health fund.

also, could be a endodontist vs a general dentist.

endodontists charge a lot more and rebates from health funds are less…

  • My wife's was $3,000…$1,500 x 2 for 2 visits 😭

    This was an Endodontist though.

So you took a selfie when you got the bill, and now it's your profile pic…

        Huh?

Oh…I get it now. Hilarious 🫤

  • Use one visit to pay for a flight to Thailand or Cambodia, use the second visit to pay for the root canal and holiday expenses.

  • sounds very cheap? is that the gap after your private health paying? maybe better if the quote is TOTAL, as each of us will have different cover of private insurance

A family friend treated the root canals of my back tooth. She was in her 60s and very experienced, and I was in and out in ~ 20 mins. Similar for crown install I was out in ~ 1/2 hour or so.

A chat with her made me realise I was ripped off a few times before lol
