Note: this is the older model, which has been replaced by the updated Anker A2668 735 Charger GaNPrime 65W Model.

    Differences from haz's comment:

    Power-allocation:
A2667 (Nano II 65W) has fixed power allocation for their ports. A2668 (GaNPrime) has an Intelligent power-allocation algorithm, that could automatically detect and adjusts the output of connected devices.

    Real-Time Protection:
A2668 has ActiveShield 2.0 which enhances protection by intelligent monitoring temperature and adjusting power output to safeguard your connected devices. The temperature is measured 35 times per second. According to the calculation of 8 hours of sleep at night, the temperature is measured more than 1 million times at night, which means 3 million times of monitoring throughout the day.

    Design:
A2668 is the industry's first to add two gallium nitrides inside, A2667 has a different chip and design but also has gallium nitrides inside.

New model is $75 https://www.amazon.com.au/Anker-Charger-GaNPrime-Compact-Mac… But has been about $55 IIRC

      Thanks for the comprehensive comparison.
I wasn't even aware their were versions within the version so to speak.

      • +3

Yep, doesn't help that they are both called 'Anker 735'

    • I think I read that there is better steam deck compatibility with this older version, than there is with the newer gan prime version. Requires more research to confirm for sure, though.

    Have one. Love it.

      Jv you never disappoint 👍🏽

    • You can retire now. No way you outwank this one.

      • 65 was a good year…

  • Cool

  • I won't support any USB-C chargers that require reading hieroglyphs to know what port does what.

Does anyone know of any multi-port USB-C chargers where the ports can always give at least 20v 1.5A, and without interruptions?
That's the convenience I want in a multi-port charger, mostly. 4 ports of that would be great.

    • +3

that’s 30w per port ….4 ports you are looking at 120w charger.

      • If they made that, and allowed each port to peak up to 20v 5A (100w), that'd be so perfect.

It sounds completely possible, so idk why it doesn't exist.
I'd pay over $150 if it had a 3yr warranty, why wouldn't I? If it lasts 3 years, it'll probably last 2 more.

$30 a year for 5 years to never ever have to think about:
        * what charger i need
        * the orientation of plugging things in
        * which port to use for what.

        that'd be a bargain 2 me.

these are fantastic and conveniently tiny, can definitely recommend

  • Can anyone recommend a GAN good for charging 2 MacBook pro.. thanks!

    • +1

Need to specify model. The 2020 M1 models charge at a max of 61W but will charge fine at slower speeds if you are desperate (wouldn't go lower than 45w). Anything newer supports up to 96w I believe. To cover all bases, a 200w from Satechi or UGREEN come in GaN.

      • Thanks.. both Intel versions.. one 15 inch and one smaller one though.

        • The 15 inch definitely takes up to 96w, and I'd safely guess 65w for the 13 inch then. So yeah, I'd still recommend 200w if you plan on using them while charging, otherwise a 140w would be enough.

  • Have this charger and love it.

Only issue I have is that when charging low current devices (i.e apple watch), for some reason I never can get it to quick charge properly. Using any other brick, my quick charge puck works fine.

  • Do these things come with any USB cables?

    • No.

  • I have the old version (I believe it is the same as the link) and it is paired with an Anker USB-C to Lightning cable. It charges my iPhone 14 Pro Max slowly, not sure why. I don't seem to have the same problem with another charger. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

    • Which port are you using? My port in the middle (the second usb c) seems to not be able to quick charge, or at least cant quick charge my apple watch.

      • I tried both ports.

  • Had 3 of these 735 (non GaN) , the Samsung dual charger one and the Apple one. Anker one is sleeker and I had no issue whatsoever after several months of using this. Build quality is also better imho for the Anker one, just feel sturdier compared to Samsung and Apple

  • Do the prongs on this model have the ability to be interchangeable (without an adapter)?

If not, can you recommend/point me to an Anker (or reliably branded ones) model that are similar (GaN or better), but can be used overseas like in US. I'm looking for one with 65w output (minimum to a single port when alone but understand that if multiple devices are attached will be distributed) or more.

I do like the Anker USB C Charger, 543 Charger (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/795481) but it can only do max 45w to when alone.

    Thanks.

  • Does this come with different like connectors to travel and use in other countries?

Is there something that has both a charger and universal adaptor as one unit ?
