🌸 MegaLAN '23T3: Full Blossom - Mini LAN and Console gaming convention🌸

OVER $2000 WORTH OF CASH AND GEAR TO BE WON

MegaLAN is held at the University of New South Wales over 2 days to an attendance of roughly 600. Like all LANs, we strongly support BYO devices but also walk-in-and-play PC/laptop 💻, console 🎮, and mobile 📱 gaming.
Come hangout with other like-minded people in a casual setting, or join tournaments for different shooters 🔫, fighting games 👊 , rhythm games 🎶, VR games 🥽, and more.
Tons of prizes to be won from a variety of sponsors including Gigabyte AORUS, Cooler Master, Monster Energy and GXS Studios

This time, we're featuring a brand new ✨ Mini Esports Arena ✨ where you can ⚔ battle it out ⚔ in teams of 5 for League of Legends, Valorant, Osu!, CS:GO, Minesweeper, CoD and Dead by Daylight. Audience members at the Arena will have the chance to participate in fun activities and prize giveaways during Esports tournaments! See details below for the signup link.

💻 All welcome to bring your PC, laptop, mobile, console or VR headset for both casual and tournaments. Enjoy a blazing fast internet connection with unlimited Wi-Fi 6 and 1/10 Gbps ethernet across the whole venue 💻

    megalan is pretty lit ! but we don't wana overpromise haha

    there's tonnes of huge LANs and conventions out there like dreamhack and smashcon - they have attendance on the order of the 10,000s

    in comparison, we are a humble 600 (but growing fast !) so one day, idk maybe we'll actually be mega!

        A couple years ago they offered a low booking fee rate for non profit organisations/schools, not sure what it is now but my uni society def took advantage of it, might be worth looking into

  Kinda wish this existed while I was at UNSW.

  Best I ever got during my time was just bumming arournd on all the old arcade cabinets in the Roundhouse before they were eventually got shut down and removed.

    unsw students of 2022 and after don't realise they live in the most amazing of times right now 🥺

    unsw gaming societies were never able to reach this level, but we finally found a way to integrate all of them into a collective "UNSW gaming" identity and it's beautiful 🥲

    if ur not too busy, you can still come though!! as long as you still have your zID, you get free entry!
