[Pre Order, QLD] Bigboi Washr Pro Pressure Washer (Machine + Foam Cannon only) $679.15 North Brisbane C&C @ MD Car Care

50
FDGO15

This a pre-order as all resellers sold out the first batch quickly.

Be a biggest of boys with this semi-commercial grade electric pressure washer.

This is the unit and soap cannon only. They also sell hoses if you need one.

Delivery is showing $42 to my QLD postcode. I’m close enough to collect though.

I’ve always had great customer service.

This is part of Father's Day deals for 2023.

Seems like an overly expensive pressure washer

Is this compatible with my Ryobi one batteries?

    • I wouldn't recommend washing your Ryobi batteries with this. The water will probably get inside and they will rust.

      (It's mains powered)

I have this and it is fantastic. Amazingly quiet, and very high flow rate compared to cheap electric pressure washers.

    • Strangely though this is marketed as a car-cleaning pressure washer - and the cheap electric pressure washers are more than enough for that job.
I'm not sure why anyone would spend the extra cash on this for car-cleaning duties.

      • Ahhh… that would also be me :P

Cheap pressure washers deliver 4.5-6 litres per minute. When washing cars you don't need a crazy pressure but higher flow rate (ideally 8-10l/min) for the best results with snow foam etc.

Way overkill for my home use (but still cool) but would be an absolute no brainer for any side-gig detailers etc.

Also can't overstate how quiet this unit is compared to cheap electric or petrol units.

        • The majority of washers that I quickly checked in the $2-300 price range seem to deliver 7-8LPM. This does 9.2, so I wonder if the difference is actually significant at all?

I personally think snow foam is a big con and takes more time than its worth. And when rinsing, I actually use a regular tap instead of the pressure hose so that the water sheets off and there's less to dry.

@atlas: I spent months researching before I bought mine.

Anything sub $500 generally only lists their max flow, not the rated flow rate. Take something like the Gerni that you probably looked at that would've been in the 7-8 range max flow, but the actual rated flow rate is something like 5-5.5 lpm.

This BigBoi unit is 9.5 max with a tuned flow rate of 9.2lpm at 1450psi.

5.5 vs 9.2 is a MASSIVE difference for both detailing applications and general cleaning (although sometimes in general cleaning you'd also want higher pressure).

Also consider although this washer doesn't have the deck / power head accessories a Karcher may have - if you are buying it for your car you would probably spend $70-110 on a foam canon as well, which is included in the kit.

Other things are like the length of the pressure hose, 13m on this unit vs 6-8m on the cheaper ones meaning you can wash the whole car (or 2) without moving the actual pressure washer.

Finally, consumer grade pressure washers are notorious for only lasting a couple of years. We have no idea how long this new model will be since it is unlike anything I have seen on the market, but being marketed as a professional unit, I am hoping it will significantly outlast anything from Bunnings.

Not much of a demonstration video - soaping a clean car and washing that off.

  • How does it compare to the AVA washers?

    • +1

AVA units have a proprietary connector. These are often hard to find. Great warranty though. The Bigboi uses industry standard quick connects.

  • I had the same question too - the stubby gun on the AVA and the 2 heads look brilliant too!

On a different note, is there any pressure washer on the market (electric) that can have variable PSI ?
