Hey everyone,
Here’s the final weekly deal before Monopoly launched on September 6 (ie likely to be last cheap Maccas feed for a while).
This time it’s the standard Big Mac + Cheeseburger combo, with a slightly cheaper price tag of $5.95. Available daily between 10:30am-midnight.
As with some of the previous deals, this is not an app exclusive and is available via kiosk, drive thru, counter and app orders (just excluding McDelivery).
Below is a little Q & A from the promo guide with some of the common questions asked. Any other questions please let me know. Enjoy :)

Q: Can I get the $5.95 Big Mac + Cheeseburger Meal if I do not have the MyMacca’s app?
A: Yes, the Deal is available via all ordering platforms (excluding McDelivery) between 10:30am and midnight daily and customers do not need to have the MyMacca’s app.
Q: Can I customise my $5.95 Big Mac + Cheeseburger Meal (add or subtract condiments)?
A: Like all Value items, condiments cannot be added to the Burger, but they can be subtracted (e.g., no pickles).
Q: What drink can I get with my Lunch Deal?
A: The $5.95 Big Mac + Cheeseburger Meal comes with the choice of a Small Soft Drink or Cup of Water.
Q: Is the $5.95 Big Mac + Cheeseburger Meal available all day?
A: No, the $5.95 Big Mac + Cheeseburger Meal is only available from 10:30am to midnight daily.

    Seriously, the thing get stuck with a white screen, and go back, then it magically goes through. Just a standard samsung phone……….

      Worst is when there's a special price in the app then when they process the order they charge more. It's a PITA to get the difference refunded because you have to go through their online support. Pathetic they can't give the refund there and then at the store.

        One time I ordered at KFC then went in to pick up my order and they said they had no chicken but could sub the 6 burgers I ordered for nuggets. I was like no, refund please and they said sure. It took almost 2 weeks before the money was back in my account

          i avoid app payment whenever i can and use counter for payment …. last thing you want is your kid using your phone and ordering 100 burgers …..

      I'm on android too.
      usually make the order, see the white screen, wait for the notification bar's GPS tracking icon, go to home screen (leave app running in background), and click on the notification popup.
      works 99% of the time, everytime.

      I make the order, get to white screen, restart app, it finalises the order and is all good.

      Usually I just order at a kiosk with number from the app, instead.

      I found a way around it by once you press pay and it goes to the white screen, exit the app and then just open it again right after, it goes to the you are here screen, not ideal but it works like that every time for me, also on a samsung

    Does anyone find that after you order something, even after you get your order, the order does not close? As in, the next time you go into the app, your previous order will still be sitting there?

      sometimes ….also code doesn’t always work, most store managers adjust but the asian manageress in bourke st near elizabeth wouldnt do manual adjust order when code didn’t work ….had to go to another maccas …. not sure if she was clueless or lazy ….the other maccas did an adjustment and i got my meal ……

      I get this sometimes, I don't know if it's because the cashier needs to close the deal on their end or something. Other than that I have no issues with the app (on iOS).

    The Maccas app has to be one of the worse apps ever to have been developed. It's riddled with bugs. Was this some teenager's school project or what? I'm sure a big organisation like McDonalds could afford to get an app made for them that isn't this arse.

      Strange reading these buggy maccas app comments, I've never had any issues, errors crashes or anything, but the red rooster app I find to be a total nightmare.

      If a teenager made the app I'd say they've done quite well. What bugs do you encounter? The main one I get is the one where the order doesn't disappear even after I've picked it up. It's also a bit slow but I'm still using an iPhone 8, but that doesn't mean the app is bad. Unless you're on Android and the apps are completely different?

      I added water as a drink on a meal deal a few weeks back, owner said I'm giving you a bottle instead of a cup and water is free don't order it on meal deals, opened my bag and he'd also swapped the small fries to large.

          Yeah this franchise owner is great, he's often serving the customer, seen him working the food prep area and often see him meandering around the tables interacting with the customers.

          If all maccas had this stores consistent quality, and an owner like this one, they'd have a much better reputation in AU.

        McDonald's water is free even if you don't order anything. They use some fancy filtration system to insure their softdrinks taste the same everywhere.

        From memory it's triple filtered.

        This is why their ice water tastes good :)

    Told at drive thru need the app or code. *At participating restaurants according to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWAFrgMKGmg either that or staff need training. First time I've been knocked back on the loose change menu.

    Maccas you can contact me if you want to make up for now the third bad experience this year. The other two being a staff member suggest I drive around again because I didn't "order properly" at the speaker then chastise me, and a shift Manager being rude when I asked to refund some disgusting double cooked fries.

    Only 2 issues in 20 years (rotten egg, rude staff) prior to 2023.

      That’s likely to be staff training, there is a very clear option on the POS to order the loose change menu
      Perhaps call the store and talk with a manager and then you could hopefully resolve it. You could also fill out the feedback survey to provide feedback to the restaurant

    Told by the young punk manager at Ascot WA that I needed the app. I went into the store yesterday and confirmed they do the deal. I had to wait before ordering for the manager to finish bullying the staff first.

    I am standing there with money and he didn't want it. What a strange world we live in.
