Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 (LH1000) Issue

Hi all, as per the advice of other forums here, I've purchased a Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 for my Superloop FTTN connection. Since plugging it in, it has been stuck on the blue light on the front and showing no DSL connection. I only realised after I bought it that there are 2 different models, and I have the Arcadyan LH1000 which I can't find much info on.

Does anyone have this specific model working on a non-Telstra FTTN connection?

It should work no worries. Have you tried a factory reset?

    • Yep, tried that. Have also tried contacting Superloop and it's connected from their end. I'm thinking it's all issue with my phone port in the house. Unfortunately I only have 1 port, so I'll have to check it's wired properly.

Yes, I used my Arcadyan LH1000 with Tangerine when my line started dropping out frequently. The 4G backup was a godsend!

Firstly do you know that the phone port you've plugged into is operational and connected to NBN's network?
If not try other phone ports in the house.

Secondly check that you've plugged the phone line into the correct port. from memory it the Grey coloured port marked DSL.
And also from memory the green and black ports are a PSTN port (only for use in a Sky-muster Satellite or Fixed Wireless regional area where the old telephone network remains in service) and the other is an output to connect a wired handset for the VoIP.

Assuming that's correctly connected, Superloop use PPPoE if I recall correctly?
So you'll need to log in to the modem to add your username and password before it'll connect.

Finally, if all of that is correct, it might be time to call Superloop to check that the correct house/line has been connected.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'm thinking it's an issue with the wiring of my phone line. I've called Superloop and they've said it's connected on their end, so I'll take a closer look at my phone connection.
