The perfect father's day gift doesn't exi…..

Jokes aside, Minecraft Annual 2024 has been sitting around the $17 mark on Amazon for a while now. I knew it would drop to $10 so I've been tracking it on 3camels.

Don't be fooled buying the 2023 version in this month's school book club for the same price. Grab this one and make your child happy.

Says 6 left at time of posting.

I am not associated with Mojang but I might be a creeper

Also $10 at Kmart (free delivery with OnePass), Big W ($3.90 delivery) and Target ($9 delivery, free with OnePass) (thanks Purley23 & Warchest)

    Any good?

    • It's filled with tips and tricks, activities, really well presented and easy to understand for kids learning to read, grade 1-4

Sunk 500 hours into legacy before they made it legacy. Haven't played it in a couple of years now though, pretty hard with young ones.

My nephew is Roblox crazy, so hopefully he’s not disappointed when he sees I bought him a Minecraft book.

I played Bloxfruits with my kids for a while. Such a grind.

  • My son is 20 and plays Minecraft (why, I don't know but there it is). Is this book for him?

    • +8

      I'm 38 and play Minecraft…

This book is probably not. He'd most likely just search everything online anyway.

Minecraft is a timeless game that gives players all the tools and a giant sandbox to play in with the only limit being their creativity, it's not a kids game as it's a game for everyone

And the mods add insane infinite replay value and 4k textures.

I have good memories of building factorio-style automations using Tekkit.

I'd say no. I bought a bunch of these books for my nephews. The main purpose I see is to shunt them away from screens. You let them play for 30 minutes, then a short break, then another 30 minute play session, and then its game over. They always cry for a little more, so it's helpful to have something related to transition them too, like books or puzzles.

I see it as kind of like methadone for a heroin addict.

Those handbooks are smaller in size but have more pages and are more in-depth with tutorials and guides but don't have any drawing/writing activities in the book so while the Annual will get them away from the screens, the handbooks are kind of designed to be used while playing.
