Catch.com.au are also reselling Target's stock currently.

Given this set was only released in May 2023, we should see the price drop further by Christmas.
24% off RRP is decent for a UCS set but quite a way off the maximum percentage that UCS sets are discounted by in their production run which is around 35-38% off RRP.

    • This one is exclusive to Target though it seems (other than Lego stores), so may not get as heavy discounts.

      • I'm confused by this statement. A quick Google search of LEGO 75355 shows this set on sale from multiple sources?

        • Where else? I am pretty sure it's target exclusive as well. Could be initially only, then make it's way to others.

If anyone buys this, I believe you can ask Lego for extra pieces to fix the connection between the stand and the X-wing. More info here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iogwUBRaWg

    • Thanks for the tip!

  • I have the original one of these, that I bought 20 years ago as a squeaky-voiced teen. My first proper bargain at 50% off as a Target clearance item!

  • I was sooo close from pulling the trigger… then read some of the reviews on this at the Lego site… gonna pass

Lol, you mean the people who don't understand that UCS sets are display-only models?

I swear some AFOLs criticise each and every set as some kind of coping mechanism to rationalise their wallet-destroying hobby.

Lego has historically never been better than it is now.

      • I’ve built the ucs millennium falcon, and that’s really a display piece too but that’s fragile as Fark as well, swore off these fragile sets…too much time, effort, and money wasted for them to fall apart like this. This one sounds worse with the reviews saying it falls apart on its own!

        • What are you on about? My UCS Millennium Falcon has stayed in one piece on its acrylic display stand, titled at an angle of nearly 90 degrees, since I built it several years ago.

Seriously… are you saying that you're trying to use a 13kg display set as a toy? Just get a display shelf/cabinet, put your UCS sets in there and leave them be. It's not hard.

          • @Gnostikos: Yes I understand they are ornaments, I had to pay an extra couple of hundred extra for an acrylic display box and stand etc cause the wrong touch and bits would fall off, just saying my opinion is they are crappy overpriced badly designed ornaments, whatevas each to their own.
