Turkey PSN Account Banned with 5+ Years Left

Is anyone else in this boat? I tried to log in to my Turkey PSN account today and was informed that access to PSN has been permanently suspended due to violations of the PlayStation Network Terms of Service and User Agreement.

When I set up the account I managed to add funds to the store and pay via a crypto.com card.

Do I have any way of clawing some of the money back from Sony as I stacked like 5 years of PSN Deluxe on that account?

Also just a general warning to everyone else.

For the record it couldn't have been a ban for conduct or anything as I never played any games through it, I just had it logged in so my main account could access PS+ content.

Kinda glad I didn't do it now. Though the top tier PS+ plan is so expensive I'll probably never pay retail price, need to gets me a sugar daddy first, though I'm way too old for that. I guess I should become a sugar daddy and buy it myself..

Maybe you need a sugar grandaddy.

      • I'd consider it for the right price tbh. But for that same price I wouldn't exactly be hung in the window of the meat market, there's better looking people willing to do more for less 🙃

This is the 'risk' you take when you overseas gateway your subscriptions

what i dont understand is why you trashed 5 years…..i mean fair enough 12mo maybe 24mo if your daring but you had to know there was a 'big risks' esp with Sony who are cheap af

i doubt you will get your money back unless you fly to turkey and can prove you 'live there' - take this as learning lesson if your going to phantom subscriber via O/S methods you keep it on a much shorter leash

i do feel for you as most of my subscriptions are in the legally 'grey' areas bcuz we get fukn ripped off for everything in Australia but i dont subscribe to anything for longer then 12mo i also sign in with my VPN to accounts that the country i signed up with to make it 'seem' legit opposed to always looking in from Australia

    • Gamepass is $19 a month now. In Turkey it was more like $19 a year. I feel for anyone who is paying $684 for the next three years just for gamepass :S

      • that is a fair point …

but that is more the exception then the rule as not often companies up prices by 1200% in a few months…..but in that instance it was worth the risk. I dont know if 'gamepass' in Turkey will remain at that price though it is unbelievably expensive for the average person there

Nothing you can do unfortunately, just suck it up and accept that you played the game and lost this time. This is always a possibility when expoliting deals like this. The fact you added 5+ years is probably what made it look suspicious.

I'm thinking perhaps a good way to approach PS+ is to get it a month at a time. If you get it every second month then that's still cheaper than getting a year at once. I don't touch my PS5 for months at a time, probably because I don't have PS+, but why pay for the sub when you aren't using it.

It's literally taken months, but last week I've managed to get a successful credit card chargeback, as I was banned without warning, and nowhere on their terms of service does it say I couldn't purchase a subscription using a VPN.
