I think 'some' snow is expected this week, 4 days of rain and cold weather, specifically Wed/Thurs.

Lake Mountain does daily updates. Buller is just lazy. It's possible this season there will be zero days where the chains are needed to get to the bus car parks.
Went on both days over last weekend. No snow all the way to the village. Still required to bring chains.

However, this year (and probably the next 3 arent going to work out).As for the actual price… Basic supply and demand. The same people who complain about price complain about line length!

Victorians out there, is it worth the trip down to Fallscreek or Mt Hotham for snow experience?
At Hotham right this moment - if you're coming to sightsee it's ok I guess. Not many runs open for skiers, snowboarders - all of orchard is shut. Can't see the season lasting much last this week.
Falls creek looks better based on snow cam.
