    $10 postage

I think it's worth it if your order is close to $100 in value (excluding postage) as the $10 postage covers all items, so you're effectively receiving a ~$20 discount.

      • The book I want to buy is $100 on Amazon. Booktopia is $107 -30 +10= $87.
If I use Amazon GC bought before, the difference is about $5

But if you use this deal you save your discounted Amazon GC for something else.

Amazon also pack books and hardcovers absolutely terribly and it's guaranteed to get damaged. Sometimes it's worth paying a little bit more for better postage protection. Especially for any hardcover graphic novels.

Booktopia is also Aussie who I'd rather personally support.

(Don't get me wrong, I use Amazon for a lot of thing but books ain't it…funnily enough considering they started as a book store)

@Subere: What are you saying? I ordered a large format hardback from Amazon. They put it in a box 4 times the size of the book, with one piece of brown paper. I assume that at some point it was wrapped around the book, instead of the crumpled mess it was when I opened the book.

Oh, I forgot my point. Oh yes, anyway, they sent me a refund and II got to keep the book. So, guess its a way to get a free book, albeit a slightly dinged up one.

            • @Tiggrrrrr: I mean it’s great you got a free book, but don’t people say if you complain about things to get full refunds too often you’ll eventually get banned? I thought I read accounts of people having amazing credit and they can no longer use it.

    • Depends on if there's a free shipping item that you want, which will apply free shipping to the entire order.

      • the cheapest free shipping book is $11, postage is $10.

free shipping item that you want

It may just be worth taking the hit on the shipping for books otherwise.

Maybe you have VPN turn on

  • Good deal but shipping kills it for me ;(

Does the cashback from off the total amount inc shipping or just the item

  • Does this apply to preordering a book?

  • I just checked my Cashrewards from the last 30% cashback from Booktopia and its been declined. Raised a ticket and they just flat out denied my claim. I even have a screenshot for the proof and they still deny the cashback. I wouldn't order from them again.
